List of Clothing

This is a list of every piece of bodywear in the Golden Sun series that the games categorize as "Clothing". Mechanically, in Golden Sun and The Lost Age, they are distinguished from other armor types by their capacity to be worn by all Adepts in the game. In comparison, Armor can only be worn by the "warrior-style" Adepts Isaac, Garet, Felix, and Piers, and Robes can only be worn by the "caster-style" Adepts Ivan, Mia, Jenna, and Sheba.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, even though the eight playable Adepts are more diverse and adhere less rigidly to previous definitions of "warrior" and "caster", all eight of them can wear clothing: Matthew, Karis, Tyrell, Rief, Amiti, Sveta, Eoleo, and Himi.

Clothing in the following lists are ordered by their sell values.

Introduced in Golden Sun

Cotton Shirt: Adds 3 Defense. A common body piece purchased for 20 coins at Vale (and then Vault) in Golden Sun, and is part of Isaac and Garet's starting equipment. In The Lost Age, it is purchased at Daila and is part of Felix's starting equipment. Sells for 15 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Vale and is part of Matthew, Tyrell, and later Eoleo's starting equipment.

Travel Vest: Adds 7 Defense. A common body piece purchased for 50 coins at Vale (and then Vault and Bilibin) in Golden Sun, and is also part of Ivan's starting equipment. In The Lost Age, it is purchased at Daila (and then Madra) and is also part of Sheba's starting equipment. Sells for 37 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Carver's Camp (and then Harapa), and it is also part of Rief's starting equipment. Otherwise, it becomes permanently unavailable once you take off for the Clouds of Passaj.

Fur Coat: Adds 16 Defense and 15 Mercury Resistance. A "common" body piece found in a chest in Kolima Forest in Golden Sun. Sells for 300 coins (but note that this cannot be bought back if sold).

Adept's Clothes: Adds 18 Defense and 8 maximum PP. A common body piece purchased for 850 coins at Imil (and then Kolima Village, Xian, and Altin) in Golden Sun and at Garoh (and then Naribwe) in The Lost Age. Sells for 637 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Ayuthay (and then Passaj), and it is also part of Amiti's starting equipment.

Elven Shirt: Adds 22 Defense and multiplies Agility by x1.5. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in an optional screen in Mogall Forest in Golden Sun. Sells for 1,250 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in the Jupiter area of Konpa Ruins, making it permanently unavailable once you follow the path through Konpa Cave's south exit.

Kimono: Adds 25 Defense, 10 Agility, and 10 Mars Resistance. An Artifact body piece that is one of the prizes randomly won by tossing a Lucky Medal into the Lucky Medal Fountain in Tolbi. Sells for 2,100 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in Barai Temple.

Water Jacket: Adds 30 Defense, 30 Mercury Resistance, and 20 Mars Resistance. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in Hammet Palace in Kalay in Golden Sun. Sells for 2,250 coins.

Silver Vest: Adds 28 Defense. A common body piece purchased for 3,200 coins at Tolbi in Golden Sun and at Izumo (and then Contigo) in The Lost Age. If a Gold Password is not being used, this will be part of Ivan and Mia's starting equipment following the Reunion. Sells for 2,400 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is purchased at Port Rago (and then Harun Village, Yamata City, and Tonfon), and one can also be found in a cabinet in a house in northeast Tonfon. It is also part of Sveta and Himi's starting equipment.

Ninja Garb: Adds 36 Defense, 30 Agility, and 10 Jupiter Resistance. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in the fifth floor of Crossbone Isle. Sells for 5,175 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a cabinet in the newly opened Dream Tree in Kolima Village after defeating Sludge in the Phantasmal Bog, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Storm Gear: Adds 42 Defense, 30 Mars Resistance, 30 Jupiter Resistance, and 30 Mercury Resistance. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in the fourth floor of Crossbone Isle, requiring Cloak to reach. Sells for 7,350 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in Belinsk that can only be reached once you request Arangoa Prelude, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Full Metal Vest: Adds 21 Defense. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in the first screen of Dehkan Plateau. Sells for 825 coins.

Festival Coat: Adds 28 Defense and 10 Luck. An Artifact body piece found in the large crate in the southeast building in Izumo. Sells for 2,100 coins.

Wild Coat: Adds 37 Defense and 40 Agility. An Artifact body piece that is one of the prizes randomly won by tossing a Lucky Medal into the Lucky Medal Fountain in Lemuria. Sells for 3,000 coins.

Floral Dress: Adds 38 Defense, and can be Used during battle to attempt to inflict Sleep on up to three enemies, but can only be equipped or Used by females. An Artifact body piece that is one of the prizes randomly won by tossing a Lucky Medal into the Lucky Medal Fountain in Lemuria. Sells for 4,950 coins; if its Use function is broken, it will cost 1,650 coins to repair, and the item will sell for 3,300 coins until then.

Faery Vest: Adds 38 Defense, and can be Used during battle to restore 200 HP, but can only be equipped or Used by females. An Artifact body piece that is one of the random outcomes (with 25% probability) of bringing a Sylph Feather to the Blacksmith in Yallam, which costs 6,900 coins to then buy. Sells for 5,175 coins; if its Use function is broken, it will cost 1,725 coins to repair, and the item will sell for 3,450 coins until then.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in Phantasmal Bog, making it permanently unavailable once you approach the Alchemy Dynamo's pedestal in Belinsk Ruins.

Erinyes Tunic: Adds 45 Defense, 5 Attack, and 10% to Unleash rate. An Artifact body piece found in a chest early in Jupiter Lighthouse. Sells for 7,800 coins.

Mythril Clothes: Adds 49 Defense and 15% to Unleash rate. An Artifact body piece that is one of the random outcomes (with 20% probability) of bringing a Mythril Silver to the Blacksmith in Yallam, which costs 14,900 coins to then buy. Sells for 11,175 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is one of the random outcomes of bringing a Mythril Silver to the Blacksmith in Champa, which is crafted for free.

Triton's Ward: Adds 47 Defense, 30 Mercury Power, and 70 Mercury Resistance. An Artifact body piece that drops from Ocean Dragons in lower Treasure Isle at a 1/128 chance (or 1/32 if slain using an offensive Mars Djinni). Sells for 12,150 coins.
• In Dark Dawn, it is found in a chest in Otka Island, which can only be explored using the Sol Blade from Apollo Sanctum as a key.

Umbra Cloak: Adds 45 Defense, 20 Venus Resistance, and 20 Mars Resistance, but can only be equipped by Sveta. An Artifact body piece found in a chest in Gaia Falls Islet. Plot-critical item that is mandatory to equip during Apollo Sanctum, and cannot be sold or dropped.
