The Ninja Garb (くろしょうぞく, Kuro shouzoku^?, lit. Black Garb) is a Clothing-class piece of armor found in Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

In Golden Sun

In Golden Sun, it is found in a chest in the fifth floor of Crossbone Isle at the end of a water-and-dam puzzle similar to the one in Kolima Forest.

In Golden Sun, the Ninja Garb's best characteristic is its high increase of agility. This increase, which is the same as the Feathered Robe, is the second highest in the original game, surpassed by only the Elven Shirt. For Mia and Ivan, however, the Feathered Robe easily outclasses the Ninja Garb by having a better defensive increase, the same agility increase, a higher wind resistance increase, and the added benefit of additional Jupiter power. For Isaac and Garet, there may be other armor-class items that give higher defense or other additional affects that the player may find desirable, but if you are looking for an increase in agility for them, then this is the way to go.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

In Dark Dawn, it is found in the cabinets in the upper part of the Dream Tree in Kolima Village, and can only be accessed after Sludge has been defeated (this technically opens up even before the Dream Tree has been healed).

While still known in Dark Dawn for its increase of Agility and Jupiter Resistance, in both cases, the Ninja Garb will eventually be outclassed by equipment forged from Quality Zol. For example, the Zol Ring and the Hover Greave multiply Agility rather than add a set amount. In addition, equipment like the Storm Gear, Zol Tiara, and Aeolian Cassock all raise Jupiter Resistance by a higher amount. However, the Ninja Garb has the advantage of raising both at once. In addition, the majority of the superior equipment is not available until after the player gains the ship, making the Ninja Garb a good placeholder. Finally, the Defensive upgrade that the Ninja Garb gives makes it an excellent option for any Mage-style Adepts that may need it.
