Tyrell (テリーTerry) is a playable character in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. He is the son of Garet, and a Mars Adept like his father. He was first revealed for the game alongside his fellow party members Karis and Matthew.

As a playable character

Tyrell is one of the main party members that appears in battles in Dark Dawn, and like Garet in the previous Golden Sun games, he starts out in the Mars-focused Guard class series. He is the only other character than Matthew who can equip Long Swords.

Tyrell is a member of Matthew's party for what may seem like absolutely the entire game of Dark Dawn; except when he requires rescuing from the Abandoned Mine's Psynergy Vortex. He is the party's resident Mars Adept until Eoleo joins the party much later in the game.

Over the course of the game, Tyrell is established as the "second warrior" in your party alongside Matthew, with both a rather low agility rating and slightly less damage potential than Matthew. This last point may be considered ironic because the game would make one think Tyrell should conform to the "big, slow, and strong" character build archetype more strongly. Instead, Tyrell's growth rate is more akin to that of a defensive character. He gains much more agility for himself as he levels up and is mainly slow when he is in his own class series.

Once the "real" adventure begins, he joins at level 4 with 176 experience points and will have a Short Sword, Cotton Shirt, Padded Gloves, and Leather Cap as starting equipment.

Statistical comparison

In terms of battle statistics and equipment, he is essentially a clone of Garet from the original Golden Sun. Tyrell inherits the traits of high HP, below average PP, slightly above average attack power, highest defense, but the lowest agility out of the playable characters in Dark Dawn, and a luck rating of two.

Compared to fellow Mars Adept Eoleo, Tyrell has slightly higher defense and attack but less HP, PP, and agility. They both have the same luck rating of two.

Tyrell has the following classes available to him:

Tyrell has a similar build, hair style, and hair color to Garet. However, his light blue/green eye color is much different from Garet's auburn eye color.

Tyrell is known for his fearlessness and poor sense of danger, as well as for his pride and curiosity. He is established as being a bit of a troublemaker, and his latest incident was the cause of the hunt for the Roc's Feather. Tyrell's impulsiveness means that he sometimes accepts and creates unnecessary challenges, such as challenging Blados immediately after fending off an ambush. He also has a bit of a temper, which does lead to problems during the quest.

Despite all this, he is extremely loyal to his friends, and openly states his opinion that he doesn't deserve friends as good as Matthew and Karis. In addition, he is very honest and down to earth: which is why Matthew is "proud to call him his best friend", as brought up in the encyclopedia, and demonstrated by his rather blunt remark in front of Paithos (who surprisingly doesn't chastise him for this). Over the course of their quest, Tyrell does appear to mature a bit, and his loyalty and courage begin to show. It is implied that he can be insightful at times, despite his impulsiveness. For example, he realizes the trap that King Wo is about to trigger, and is the first to notice that Ryu Kou was not a native of Te Rya. Just before the Apollo Lens is set off, he is the only Adept to realize that Sveta is reading his mind, and wishes her luck.

A brief article on Dark Dawn in the Japanese-language magazine Jump describes Tyrell as a Mars Adept, who is a mischievous character, and Matthew's close friend. Tyrell also hates it when Karis bosses him around.

Tyrell was born to Garet and an unknown mother roughly fourteen-to-fifteen years after the Golden Sun event. He was raised at the Lookout Cabin that Isaac built in the years following the event, where he has lived along with Garet, Isaac, and had become best friends with Isaac's own son, Matthew. He quite clearly took after his father's earlier brash and hotheaded nature as much as he took after his father's abilities as a Mars Adept. However, compared to Matthew and their other friend Karis, Tyrell was noticeably immature as well, often bickering with Karis and letting his temper get the better of him in a variety of scenarios.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

Being Rescued

Tyrell's frustrations with being treated as less than an adult make him recklessly use the soarwing out of protest.

Thirty years after the Golden Sun event, Karis once again visits the Lookout Cabin, this time bringing an invention of her father Ivan's, a hang glider-like device called a Soarwing. It is kept aloft not so much by the wind but by a skilled Adept's own Psynergy, and a critical component in its construction is the feather of a mammoth bird roosting in northeast Angara called the Mountain Roc. Isaac and Garet previously went on a quest with other old companions of theirs to retrieve this feather, for they had decided that they need the Soarwing in order to fly and maintain a watch over both the uncrossable terrain around Mt. Aleph and elsewhere to study anomalous phenomena named Psynergy Vortexes. Karis has had experience flying a Soarwing already, and has come to both deliver the Soarwing to them and to give flying lessons to those living there.

However, by the time Isaac and Matthew return from a stop at nearby Patcher's Place, Tyrell suddenly takes and puts on the Soarwing for himself, immaturely reasoning that he wants to take the device out for a ride, even though he had not received lessons from Karis yet. When Karis and the adults get angry at him, he retorts that nobody has any faith or respect in him and jumps off, and soon enough, he finds that he is unable to keep aloft. Isaac has him fly toward the Abandoned Mine in the distance and wait for the rest of him to catch up to and fetch him, and has both Matthew and Karis accompany himself and Garet on the dangerous trip through Tanglewood Forest; while Garet believes the two young Adepts would only amount to a burden and would be put through an unnecessary amount of danger, Isaac explains that the adults, as the Warriors of Vale who originally brought the Golden Sun to Weyard, have been training their children so that they may one day take on the responsibility of watching over the world. Matthew and Karis are not opposed to the idea.

Tyrell's appearance in the E3 2009 poster.

Tyrell crash-lands onto the small peak near a mine shaft entrance, which shatters the soarwing. He goes inside to explore, and then sees a particularly large instance of a Psynergy Vortex pulsating inside the cave. He gets too close to it, which causes all of his elemental Psynergy to get sucked out of his body and leave him unconscious and drained near it. When the two adults and Tyrell's two friends arrive to the Abandoned Mine after having passed through the monster-infested darkness of the Tanglewood, they suddenly find themselves having to contend with an enormous plant monstrosity that had formed and sustained itself near the vortex. The four defeat it, and Isaac and Garet pour their Psynergy reserves into Tyrell's body to wake him up. To Garet's chagrin, Tyrell's first remark is to comment on the nice dreams he was having, and he is similarly not anywhere near as repentant as he should be for having smashed the soarwing.

Quest for the Roc Feather

More promotional magazine art of Tyrell

Back at the cabin the next afternoon, Isaac suddenly gives Tyrell and Matthew the following quest: to leave immediately and travel across Angara to find the Mountain Roc and obtain another Mountain Roc feather so that a new Soarwing can be created. Isaac hands this down as a critical rite of passage for the boys to undertake as Adepts, and Garet agrees with this for the sake of getting Tyrell's behavior and sense of responsibility straightened out. However, even though it was her father's Soarwing that was destroyed by Tyrell, Karis is concerned that Isaac is forcing such a big quest on her friends so suddenly, but Isaac explains that that is the point because his own quest thirty years before began just as suddenly. Tyrell is on board with going out on an adventure, however, and Karis willingly volunteers to accompany Tyrell and Matthew on their journey. The three young Adepts are soon off on their new adventure.

Shortly after leaving Isaac's cabin, Tyrell and his two friends stop by Patcher's Place, and Karis' frustrations with Tyrell seemingly come to a head. When Patcher angrily states how Tyrell nearly burned Patcher's Place down with his Mars Psynergy on a previous visit, Tyrell is frustrated that Patcher never forgets these sorts of things even though nothing bad had happened in the end, and starts to let loose some of his fire Psynergy; to prevent him from a second chance at burning down the store, Karis shoves him to the floor and angrily berates him. Within a moment, Karis starts crying in apology, and lectures that it is their responsibility as Adepts to make sure they never use Psynergy in public or hurt people, since their fathers are concerned about people viewing Psynergy and the Adepts that use it as helpful rather than hurtful. Tyrell eventually agrees not to use Psynergy in front of strangers, and recognizes and appreciates that his friends are always looking out for him. Tyrell and Karis' companionship improves from that point onward.

For the rest of Dark Dawn, Tyrell consistently accompanies Matthew's group of Adepts as their journey progresses through the continent of Angara. While he quickly takes on the role of being a stalwart companion to Matthew and improves on his overt brashness and proclivity to get into fights, he often ends up bickering with others in their group like before, including the other Adepts that would come to join the party, and his bluntness leaves an impression on the various other people the party comes across. He is also not afraid to speak his mind at the various antagonists the party encounters. His abilities as a Mars Adept and a stout swordsman are critical to his group's ability to survive the many critical battles they have to face.

Belinsk Ruins

Tyrell makes a grim rationalization about what his group has been involved with letting transpire at the world's expense.

Over the course of the Adepts' quest for the Roc feather, which they eventually obtain, everyone ends up getting sidetracked and drawn into the sinister plotting of the mysterious Tuaparang empire. Tyrell and the rest of his growing stable of friends end up being manipulated by the elites operating for Tuaparang into achieving every one of their goals for them. At one point, the party has been lured down to the underground Alchemy Dynamo by the Tuaparang commanders Blados, Chalis, and Arcanus, so that the Eclipse Tower can be unsealed. After he and his friends fight and manage to best Blados and Chalis in battle, Tyrell is the first to throw himself at Arcanus to protest Arcanus making use of them, but Arcanus effortlessly blows Tyrell back. In the end, nothing they can do prevents the Tuaparang commanders from making Eclipse Tower rise out of the ground. Eclipse Tower covers much of Angara in a dome of monster-infested darkness, and Tyrell casually comments that it's "the end of the world", which makes Kraden tell him off and say that Garet would be disgusted to see him give up so quickly.

Following the beginning of the Grave Eclipse, when Tyrell expresses how he would move forward and actually do things in this situation instead of sit around talking about it, he is surprised when Kraden states that this may actually be the best course for them. The final party of Adepts proceeds to explore the Great Eastern Sea on their own in search of information on how the Grave Eclipse can be stopped, and they learn from this that an ancient superweapon designed to destroy the Eclipse, the Apollo Lens, lies at the top peak of the Khiren Mountains south of Eclipse Tower. The party gathers everything they need in order to make the trip up to Apollo Sanctum and make the Lens operable.

Apollo Sanctum

But alas, it turns out that getting the superweapon set up is precisely what the Tuaparang wanted of them, as the acquisition of that was the Tuaparang's ultimate goal. When Arcanus reappears before them at first and everyone exclaims in surprise and anger, it is Tyrell's reaction that Arcanus takes specific note of, and he addresses Tyrell directly. Arcanus notes that he really is Garet's son because of his overconfidence and impulsiveness, and their conversation reveals to the Adepts that Arcanus knows of this because he is actually Alex, the infamous Mercury Adept who made use of Garet and the other Warriors of Vale thirty years before. When Blados and Chalis try to silence Tyrell and all of his friends for good, Tyrell joins everyone else in engaging the duo through two drawn-out, harrowing battles; miraculously, they manage to defeat the field commanders through their own fighting ability and defeat their plans for the weapon. The Grave Eclipse is soon ended with the Lens.

Following the end of the events at the Apollo Lens, Tyrell makes the long journey back to the Lookout Cabin with Matthew and Karis as the rest of the Adepts that had joined their group over the course of the journey part ways to return to their own kingdoms. Upon returning to the cabin, however, the three of them see that a giant Psynergy Vortex has appeared within the airspace very near the cabin.

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

Like Garet, Tyrell is the source of light-heartedness in Dark Dawn. He is often unfocused, clumsy and brash and was the one responsible for breaking the first Soarwing. His dialogue is often humorous.

  • On Lookout Cabin:
Tyrell: "Come on-how hard can it be? I mean, you just jump into the wind and act like a bird!"
Garet: "What?! That's birdbrained, Son! You're going to drop like a rock into the valley below!"
Tyrell: "You're wrong! You just don't have any faith in me, Dad! And I'm fed up with people not taking me seriously!"
  • In the Abandoned Mine:
Tyrell: (Waking up after being rescued) "Ohhhh! And I was having such nice dreams...!"
Garet: "What?! You oaf! Is that the thanks we get? We were worried about you!"
Tyrell: "Worried? Oh, yeah... Now I remember... I crashed the soarwing... The wing broke..."
Garet: "It broke? More like you broke IT!"
  • In Lookout Cabin:
Tyrell: "Tell me who Kraden is again? I sort of remember this ancient, crusty guy visiting the cabin once... "
  • In Patcher's Place:
Karis: "You nearly burned down his store? Wow. Is there anywhere you haven't made a mess of things, Tyrell?"
Tyrell: "What I did here happened forever ago! I didn't mean to do it! But Patcher never...ever...FORGETS!" (Begins to charge up fire Psynergy in frustration)
Karis: (If Matthew responds with sadness) "Oh, great. Now I have two friends falling apart on me. Help me calm him down! Snap out of it, Tyrell!" (Karis pushes Tyrell onto the ground.)
Tyrell: "Ouch. That hurt."
Karis: "I hope that DID hurt, Tyrell! It's pretty stupid, losing your temper like that! You might have scorched this whole place!"
  • In Konpa Cave:
Tyrell: "But when bad luck hits, you just have to roll with the punches."
Karis: "What a surprisingly positive thing for you to say, Tyrell. I'm more used to you kicking and screaming when fate throws you for a loop."
Tyrell: "Well, one of us has to be the grown-up here."
Karis: "Very funny. But let's hurry."
Tyrell: "Look! A crate! Uh...and it's hopping."
Karis: "Should we open it? It's so bizarre!"
Tyrell: (If Matthew responds with anger) "Focus your fury on that crate and crack it open!"
Karis: "This is the first time we've been to this part of Angara. I'm scared we'll get lost."
Tyrell: "Don't be such a worrywart, Karis. We'll be up and over those mountains in no time!"
Karis: "I say we head straight for that town! Let's get our bearings before we go over the mountains!"
Tyrell: "There she goes again. Pushing us around..."
Karis: "What?! I know full well that Matthew is our leader. I just figured he'd want some input!"
Tyrell: "Fine, then. Let's move out before Karis blows a gasket."
Tyrell's impulsive and blunt observations can sometimes run afoul of social norms.
  • At Harapa:
Tyrell: "A Fire Adept can start fires. But we can't put them out. It's a sore subject for us."
Karis: "But controlling Psynergy means controlling our minds. We've got to maintain discipline."
Tyrell: "Yeah, and by "we", you mean me, right?! But I'm NOT weak, Karis!"
  • At Passaj:
Karis: "Hey, Tyrell! Throw a fireball at this spot marked with the flame!"
Tyrell: "I can't stand it when Karis bosses me around..."
Karis: "Just fire it up!"
Tyrell: "What are you looking at, gramps?"
Bogho: "GRAMPS?! I'm an elder of Passaj! Call me that...or by my name, Bogho! Anything else is disrespectful!"
  • In Kaocho Palace:
Chalis: "These are quite...exceptional Adepts."
Tyrell: "So, you're Chalis? With a name like that, you've got to be working with that cocky Blados!"
King Wo: "Ah, you know of Blados? Then you ARE my Adepts!"
Tyrell: "Yeah, like that Chalis lady said... We're, uh, exceptional Adepts."
Karis: "Don't say another word, Tyrell!"
Tyrell: "Hold on a second! We're not just going to be used like this, are we?!" (If Matthew responds with cheer) "Yeah, there's no way any of us are going to fight in his war! I mean, I like fighting...but not for him."
  • In Ayuthay:
Tyrell: "Uh-oh-this guy wants something from us. I can tell!"
Karis: "Oh, Tyrell! You shouldn't speak to King Paithos like that!"
Rief: "You mustn't, Tyrell!"
Tyrell: "What?! Oh, come on! You know I'm no good with this fancy talk!"
Paithos: "So blunt! How refreshing! I believe we'll get along perfectly."
Tyrell: "Adept this! Adept that! I'm just about fed up! Ever since we left the lookout cabin, all we hear is people talking about us Adepts! Is that how the whole world thinks of us-like we're pulling everyone's strings?!"
Paithos: "Surely our pond water won't stand in the way of mighty Adepts like you, will it?"
Tyrell: (If Matthew responds with anger) "What, you don't want to go near the water? Well, I hate that even more, but you don't see me complaining!"
  • At Passaj (second visit):
Baghi: (After hearing about how Amiti apparently received a telepathic message from the Sand Prince) "Er, how did you...? Who spoke to...?"
Tyrell: "We found a man in Ayuthay... who's actually a gemstone... and only Amiti can hear him talk. Really, Baghi. You've got to try and keep up better."
  • In Harapa:
Tyrell: (After the Ice Queen is defeated and turned into a gemstone) "Well, I guess she realizes her place NOW."
Rief: "We defeated her! We have the Ice Queen Stone!"
Karis: "We did win, didn't we? But I do feel a little bad, forcing her back in that gem."
Tyrell: "We may never learn the true nature of these gemstones. Which came first: the gem or the queen? Well, let's just pocket that stone and be on our way back to Passaj."
  • At Craggy Peak Ruins:
Tyrell: "Yeah, no one lives here."
Rief: "How can you be so sure?"
Tyrell: "The smell. If people lived here, I'd be able to smell some food. But not a whiff."
Karis: "Yeesh. Let's just get going, Matthew. Ignore Tyrell."
  • In Te Rya:
Karis: "Hello. We were-"
Ryu Kou: "What do you want?"
Tyrell: "Hey-be polite to the lady! Or do you need me to teach you some manners?"
Ryu Kou: "You are the intruders here. If you're looking for a fight, you've found one."
Rief: "Hey, hey, hey! We don't want any trouble, do we, Tyrell?"
Tyrell: "Hey-I'm not the one being a big jerk!"
Ryu Kou: "Is it tiresome to always need your friends to save you from your own mouth?"
Tyrell: "Come over here and say that!"
Hou Zan: "Stop!" (Hou Zan arrives)
Ryu Kou: "But..."
Tyrell: "Is it time for YOUR friend to save you from YOUR mouth?"
Tyrell: "You guys are the worst guards ever. Wait a minute... You're not dressed for this weather. Are you even FROM here? You're not, are you?! I'm right! These guys are visitors too. They're not in charge here! So let's go in already."
Karis: "I think Tyrell's right. Shall we just go in?"
Tyrell: (If Matthew responds with cheer) "That's the spirit! But don't forget who you have to thank for getting us in!"
Tyrell: "I'm Tyrell, and this is Matthew. Don't mess with us again."
  • In Teppe Ruins:
Tyrell: "Whoa! She's a kitty-dog!"
Sveta: "Do not mistake me for a dumb animal. Our minds are alike, and I know when I am being insulted."
Tyrell: "Hey-even with problems, I think it could be handy to have a mind reader around..."
Karis: "Sveta is a person, not a tool you can just use. Don't talk about her like that, Tyrell."
Rief: "That Sveta cuts an intriguing figure, eh?"
Tyrell: "I just think she'll be an asset to the group...with the mind-reading thing, I mean..."
Amiti: "She only offered her services as a guide. Let us not assume too much yet."
Rief: "It will be good to see Kraden again."
Tyrell: "Yeah, IF the geezer actually made it there."
Karis: "Tyrell, there's no need to be rude!"
Sveta: "Karis, you are a good person. I like you very much..."
Tyrell: "What are the rest of us, then? Chopped liver?"
  • In Kolima Forest:
Tyrell: (Upon meeting Tret for the first time) "Tret is ugly..."
Tret: "Warriors of Vale? Is that what they're calling Isaac and Ivan and Mia and...? And there was one more... "
Tyrell: "Yeah-Garet! Did you just forget about my dad?!"
Tret: "Hrooom... Yes, Garet. You're the firebrand's son, eh? What is your name?"
Tyrell: "I'm Tyrell."
Tret: "Hmmph. Yes, I see Garet in your aura."
Tyrell: "Are we going to try to sneak into Belinsk Castle now?" (If Matthew responds with anger) "What are you yelling at me for? I'm not the one who's trying to boil the pirate!"
Tyrell: "Whatever. Why would we even want to turn on some dumb Dynamo? We're not turning it on, are we, Matthew?" (If Matthew responds with sadness) "What's with the hangdog look? Did you really WANT to turn on the Dynamo or something?"
  • At Port Rago (second visit):
Briggs: "I'll set sail for Belinsk as soon as I've got my boat fixed. Trust me."
Tyrell: "Trust you?! Trust the pirate who doesn't care about his own son's execution?!"
  • In Belinsk Ruins:
Sveta: (Late into her conversation with Matthew's group) "I walked south to get here, so if we head north, we should get to the castle."
Tyrell: "Finally! Some information we can actually use!"
Tyrell: "Let's get going. If we talk any longer, Eoleo will be soup by the time we get to him."
Arcanus: "Enough. Place the orb in the machine. Now. You don't want to know what will happen if you don't cooperate."
Tyrell: "Oh, yeah? I'm kinda curious, actually."
Tyrell: "Face us, you masked coward!"
  • In Belinsk:
Kraden: "It's true that I don't age, but it's not quite as glamorous as it sounds."
Tyrell: "Yeah, it must stink to get to live forever after you're already super-old."
Tyrell: (After the Grave Eclipse begins casting a shadow of monster-filled darkness across Angara) "Well, that's it then, right? It's the end of the world."
Kraden: "Your father would be disgusted to hear you give up so quickly."
Tyrell: "But... What can we possibly do?"
Karis: (Upon seeing Briggs' death) "Briggs docked his ship here to save us. It's not right that it's going to cost him his life."
Tyrell: "Yeah, the greatest pirate of the high seas should...I dunno, go down with the ship or something."
Tyrell: (Sometime after Briggs' death) "Brrr! It just keeps getting colder! How is it this cold in the summer? I can't wait to get back in the cabin."
Rief: "Quit complaining. It's disrespectful."
Tyrell: "Why are we still awake? None of us slept at all last night! You all do what you want, but I'm taking a nap."
  • Out at sea:
Tyrell: "Wait a minute! I thought you knew everything, Kraden!"
Tyrell: "Well, you know my vote is always for doing stuff, not sitting around talking about it."
Kraden: "And this may actually be our wisest course."
Tyrell: "Really?!"
  • In Yamata:
Tyrell: (After Kraden tells of how he keeps contact with Piers by carrier pigeon) "But how could that little thing find him with the whole world to pick from? I wouldn’t know where to start!"
Kraden: "Then I suppose my pigeon has you at an advantage, Tyrell. Perhaps if I can teach it to throw fireballs, it will put you out of a job..."
Tyrell: "Hey! Are you saying that pigeon is smarter than me?!"
Tyrell: "Hey, I'm not going to just stand here while Kraden tells everyone his bird is smarter than me! I've always hated pigeons. Stupid, feathery rodents..."
  • At the Apollo Lens:
Arcanus: (After Tyrell reacted to Arcanus' appearance with "What's he doing here?!") "Tyrell, son of Garet... You seem displeased to see me."
Tyrell: "I'm only displeased to see you still breathing!"
Arcanus: (Warps down to where the party is) "Ah, the impulsiveness, the overconfidence... You really are your father's son."
Tyrell: "Y-you know my dad?"
Arcanus: "Obviously."
Alex: "You flatter me, Kraden."
Tyrell: "And I'll flatten you..."
Tyrell: (As the Tuaparang airship flies overhead) "I've got a bad feeling about this..."
Tyrell: (To Sveta, who recoils in fear when the Chaos Hound approaches her) "Are you an Adept or not? Use some Psynergy on it!"
Tyrell: (After the final battle) "Thanks, Matthew. Thanks for leading us all this way."
Tyrell: (Thinking) "You're reading my mind now, aren't you, Sveta? Well, good luck."
  • Back at Belinsk:
Tyrell: (To Belinsk's guards) "Sveta is already the queen? You guys move fast."
Tyrell: "It's nice to be liked, huh? But it's probably time to get this roc feather home..."

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn's encyclopedia entry for Tyrell:

This young man is a Fire Adept, following in the steps of his father, Garet.
He has a reputation of being a troublemaker, but Matthew is still proud to call him his best friend.

A screenshot of a hidden system message, perhaps in defiance of the game's wishes.
  • At the first instance in the game when Matthew may be controlled, if one uses a walk-through-walls Action Replay code to "warp" to the top of the roof and talk to Tyrell, he will produce the dialogue message "THIS MESSAGE SHOULD NOT BE DISPLAYED." Ordinarily, when one climbs up the ladder to the roof, the linear path they are allowed to take will immediately transition to the camera zooming up on Tyrell, and the cutscene will proceed normally. Tyrell is ordinarily impossible to be reached and interacted with like a normal NPC at this point. Presumably, this is a generic block of text that exists so that if the game is hacked to let players talk to Tyrell when they shouldn't, there would be some text to display, instead of causing the game to crash. This is typical "good" programming protocol, though unusually Tyrell's facial portrait is displayed alongside this message.
  • It's interesting to note that while Tyrell has a similar build, hair style, and hair color to Garet, his light blue/green eye color is much different from Garet's auburn eye color. It can be assumed that he inherited his eyes from his mother.
  • Tyrell is the only playable Fire Adept where only one of his parents are known. Garet and Jenna's parents are known but unnamed. Eoleo's parents are named.

In Fan Circles

Tyrell has often been paired with Nowell, dubbed NeoSteamshipping or Steamshipping 2 after their (non-canon parent's shipping - Garet and Mia). Another pairing is Sparkshipping, where he is paired with Karis. This is known for their constant arguing.
