Brute class series
The Brute class series is a dual-elemental class series available to Venus Adepts (except Himi) and Mars Adepts. These Adepts become members of this class series when Mars or Venus Djinn are set to them, although Venus Adepts rely more heavily on Mars Djinn and Mars Adepts rely more on Venus Djinn.
Because the two elements involved, Venus and Mars, have a symbiotic relationship, an extra class level exists in this series compared to other single and dual-elemental class series, making this class series very powerful. This is much like the Hermit class series, shared by Adepts and Djinn of the Jupiter and Mercury elements, and identical to the Curse Mage class series.
The class series, when at its highest stage of Chaos Lord and compared to the other series at their highest respective stages, has excellent HP (tying with the Master and Paladin and surpassed only by the Ronin), superb Attack (tying with the Master for the highest attack rating class increase in the game), and good Agility, but lower Defense and very low PP. The series has the lowest Luck rating of all class series. Noteworthy Psynergy from an endgame perspective includes Revive and Planetary, and the heaviest area-of-effect Psynergy it has are Stone Spire and Supernova/Inferno. Average stats from an endgame perspective are 143% (158% if you don't factor in Luck).
In all games, an Adept in this class series is especially likely to be affected by Attack-lowering effects.

Analysis
Statistically, the Brute class boasts the highest Attack multiplier in the game alongside a good agility multiplier. The class also has an extremely high HP multiplier, though the defense is only average. This setup means the Brute is excellent for dealing out large amounts of physical damage. On the Psynergy side, the Brute has good ranged Psynergies to soften up the opponent and an excellent physical elemental attack in Planet Diver and Planetary. It also includes the useful Revive Psynergy.
The main drawback to the class lies in the low PP multiplier. The higher PP Psynergies like Stone Spire and Planetary will quickly strain the PP pool. However, the Brute's abilities as a strong physical attacker help to make up for this weakness.
The Brute class is widely considered to be an upgraded version of the Squire class series, featuring higher HP and Attack, while conserving the PP and Defense stats. In fact, the Brute class is often the class of choice for Isaac, Felix, and Matthew, particularly when one of these Adepts is placed in a setup to ensure a Megiddo Unleash from the Sol Blade. The Brute's high Attack only increases the power of Megiddo, and since the Adept in question will nearly always Unleash, the low PP is not an issue. The Brute class is also a good option for any Mars or Venus Adepts that intent to take advantage of any damage-multiplying Unleashes. Another advantage is the speed of which Psynergy is learned. The biggest gap is 7 levels, between Condemn and Inferno.
Trivia
- As of Dark Dawn, the only Venus or Mars Adept who cannot access this class series is Himi, who instead obtains the Curse Mage class series.
