Wind Seer class series
The Wind Seer class series is the default class series available to the Jupiter Adepts Ivan, Sheba, and Karis. These Adepts are members of this class series if they either have only Jupiter Djinn set to themselves or no Djinn whatsoever.
The class series, when at its highest stage of Sorcerer and compared to the other series at their highest respective stages, features very high PP and very good Agility, but ties with the Necromage and Radiant Miko as being among the lowest in Defense rating, and ties with the Radiant Miko for the lowest HP and Attack ratings of all final-stage classes. This series' Luck rating is the only one at the particular rating of 110%, making it "just above the standard". Noteworthy Psynergy from an endgame perspective includes Impact/High Impact and Ward/Resist, and the heaviest area-of-effect Psynergy it has is Spark Plasma. Average stats from an endgame perspective are 143% (150% if you don't factor in Luck).
In all games, an Adept in this class series is especially likely to be affected by PP-siphoning effects.

Analysis
General: As a whole, the Wind Seer class is designed around support, having powerful, ranged Psynergies designed to soften up the target, along with buffing Psynergies to help the player's party. The class's main strengths are its high PP and speed, along with its access to the useful Impact and Ward. However, the class also has some major shortcomings. The low HP and Defense mean that the Wind Seer is fragile, and is often the first Adept to be downed. In addition, they are not very good as physical attackers, due to the low Attack, and thus are limited in their offensive capabilities, especially against enemies with high Jupiter Resistance.
Due to the class's overall weakness, Wind Seers are often placed into the similar Hermit class series. The Hermit retains the powerful Plasma Psynergy series and Impact of the Wind Seer, but also adds access to Wish and the powerful Freeze Prism. In addition, the Hermit has all-around better statistics, with the Sorcerer, the strongest stage of the Wind Seer class being equivalent to the Sage, the second-strongest stage of the Hermit class. Therefore, players are encouraged to arrange Djinn so that the Wind Adept is in the Hermit class instead of the Wind Seer class.
By Game
Golden Sun: Early on, the Wind Seer's ranged Psynergy make him a good supporter. His Ray Psynergy is an excellent choice for fighting the Bandit. However, his class loses its shine as there are no other bosses with a weakness against Jupiter. In addition, the class's fragility quickly causes the class to lose its shine. Because of this, and also because of the numerous Mercury-weak enemies, Ivan is an excellent candidate for the Hermit class once Mia joins. However, the Wind Seer class may still see use, due to the necessity of Whirlwind in various puzzles.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age: The Wind Seer class's usefulness is similar to previous appearances. Sheba can benefit from early availability to equipment that increases Jupiter Power, making her a decent supporter against multiple targets. However, her limited weapon choices, compared to Ivan, means that she is not a physical attacker, making the class rather one dimensional. As with Ivan, other classes become much better options.
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn: The Wind Seer class is altered somewhat with the newly-introduced Fresh Breeze Psynergy series replacing the Ray Psynergy series. The addition of Fresh Breeze, the only mass-healing spell that does not require Djinn, improves the Wind Seer's support abilities, and helps a bit in remedying the Wind Seer's fragility. For this reason, Karis is an excellent early game healer and supporter. However, the introduction of Fresh Breeze means a longer wait between offensive Psynergies, with the longest being the 18 level gap between Shine Plasma and Tempest. In addition, the wide availability of Jupiter-based pure element weapons allow Karis to take advantage of the higher Power of her base class for physical offense.
Trivia
- The Wind Seer class series is the only returning mono-elemental class series in Dark Dawn to introduce new Psynergy (the Fresh Breeze series).
