Golden Sun: Dark Dawn/Side Scripts/Lookout Cabin

From Golden Sun Universe

These pages compile almost all incidental NPC dialogue, both spoken and accessed with Spirit Sense, that exist separately from the "main cutscenes" in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. This can be used as a reference to more easily look up all optional gossip at each settlement in the game without painstakingly talking to each NPC and casting the Spirit Sense Psynergy on them. Some technically optional dialogue the player is very likely to read is omitted. All text in italics is conveyed through Spirit Sense.

Lookout Cabin

Tyrell misbehaving
You and your big mouth, Karis! They heard us!
Karis' possible retorts to Tyrell's behavior
Isaac! Garet! You have to stop him!
Use your brain for once, Tyrell! Don't mess with things you can't understand!
Why do you never listen to me? I told you not to come up here!
Isaac's possible retorts to Tyrell's behavior
Just come down, Tyrell! Please! We won't be mad!
It's going to be fine, Tyrell! Take off the soarwing, then step back from the edge!
We can't have you breaking that equipment! It's too valuable!
Garet's possible retorts to Tyrell's behavior
What do you think you're DOING, Tyrell?!
That idiotic son of mine! He just can't stay out of trouble!
Not another step, Son!
I never got into this kind of trouble when I was a kid!
Karis' further commentary on the roof
I make using the soarwing look easy, so no wonder Tyrell got it in his head to use it!
I haven't given him any lessons, but still he thinks he can run off the roof with the soarwing?!
Isaac's further commentary on the roof
He thinks he can fly the soarwing without so much as a single lesson from Karis!
We've got to stop him! He could fall into the valley and hurt himself!
Tyrell should know better! Piloting a soarwing without proper training is impossible!
Garet's further commentary on the roof
That kid never listens to me! When I was young, I was nothing like that!
I don't know how he got to be such a hothead! Can't you talk him down, Matthew?
He won't listen to us dads! If he flies off the cliff, he'll be a goner!
Inspect Isaac's diary
Isaac's Diary: It's been 10 years since the last Mourning Moon, so the nightmare is due to return soon.
The world must be ready. We must be ready. The Mourning Moon IS coming.
Inspect telescope
Would you like to look through the telescope?
[Yes] Mount Aleph, site of Sol Sanctum, glows intensely—as it has for many years.
Inspect bookcase in main room
Traveling with Psynergy: People without powers can't get very far through the wilderness—but we Adepts can!
Adepts can use Psynergy to remove obstacles and make paths while traveling.
So use Move Psynergy to clear rocks, and utilize Growth Psynergy to make vines grow into ladders.
Whenever you think you can't go forward, think about how your current Psynergy could be the key to the situation!
Karis, while you haven't yet equipped everything
You still have to equip your weapon and all pieces of armor before we can go!
Isaac, waiting on the plateau
There's no time to waste. Tyrell is waiting for us.
Garet, waiting on the plateau
Get a move on, Matthew. Take the lead! Find Tyrell!
Isaac, waiting past the bridge
No turning back now! The danger grows for Tyrell the longer we delay.
Garet, waiting past the bridge
You're not running away from this! Get going!
Isaac, near start of cave
Don't be worried about facing monsters for the first time. You'll do just fine.
Garet, near start of cave
Hey, everyone gets a little scared about their first few battles. Even me.
Isaac, after first battle
OK, let's press onward, Matthew. There's no turning back now.
Garet, after first battle
Psynergy is helpful during battles, and you can use it when exploring to make your way past obstacles.
For instance, you can use Psynergy to move objects that bar your path.
Isaac, at Lookout Cabin's bedroom, if a battle was lost in Goma Plateau's cave
There isn't a moment to lose. Let's move onward and rescue Tyrell.
Garet, at Lookout Cabin's bedroom, if a battle was lost in Goma Plateau's cave
You two keep pushing ahead. We'll keep an eye on things back here.
Isaac, waiting for earth pillar to be Moved
No turning back now. We need to stay on the move to reach Tyrell.
Garet, waiting for earth pillar to be Moved
That big rock has to go! Use your Move Psynergy, Matthew.
Isaac, after earth pillar is Moved
OK, let's press ahead, Matthew. There's no turning back now.
Garet, after earth pillar is Moved
Take the lead and use your Psynergy when needed, Matthew. Isaac and I will be right behind you.
Isaac, near Tanglewood
The forest ahead changes at night, but we can't waste time. Stay on the move—before things get worse.
Garet, near Tanglewood
We're about to find out if the stories about the forest are true. I never wanted to go inside it at night.
But now we have to, since Tyrell is counting on us. Let's head into the Tanglewood.
Garet, after journey starts
Do you want a reminder about where to meet Kraden?
[Yes] Kraden will be waiting for you at the bridge in Carver's Camp.
It's a good place to meet, since the bridge leads to the valley that cuts through the Goma Mountains.
But if you get separated for any reason, just head to Bilibin. It's our gateway to the rest of Angara.
People from our side of the mountains often meet up there before we go any further.
[No] Hmm, if you say so. It's not easy for me to send you off with so little guidance.
Approach Isaac after journey starts
Mount Aleph requires my full attention, kids. But I have absolute faith in Kraden...
After you leave Patcher's Place, head to Carver's Camp to meet him.
The meeting place is at the bridge at Carver's Camp. Kraden will probably be there very soon.
I trusted Kraden with my life when I was young. You can depend on him completely.
Approach Isaac again
I cannot leave my post here, since we now believe that someone may be targeting the Wise One.
This person has an absolute hatred of the Wise One. Why, we'll never know. But I must stop him—at any cost.
Karis, when attempting to head into the cave after journey starts
We need to head toward Patcher's Place, so let's take those stairs over there!
There's nothing left to do down in the forest below. Let's go to Patcher's Place!
