Golden Sun: Dark Dawn/Side Scripts/Finale

From Golden Sun Universe

These pages compile almost all incidental NPC dialogue, both spoken and accessed with Spirit Sense, that exist separately from the "main cutscenes" in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. This can be used as a reference to more easily look up all optional gossip at each settlement in the game without painstakingly talking to each NPC and casting the Spirit Sense Psynergy on them. Some technically optional dialogue the player is very likely to read is omitted. All text in italics is conveyed through Spirit Sense.

Apollo Sanctum

Inspect Sol Blade without setting the three Colored Orbs first
The sword won't budge...
Kraden, if you attempt to leave instead of climbing the ladder
Come now, Matthew! Where are you going? The time has come—throw the switch!
Kraden
Matthew, the switch on the Apollo Lens... Would you kindly throw it now?
Karis
I guess this is what we've come all this way to do: turn on the Apollo Lens and end the eclipse.
I just wonder...if we do throw the switch, what will happen to Sveta's brother?
Tyrell
Thanks, Matthew. Thanks for leading us all this way.
Rief
W-we...won, right? So why are there tears in my eyes?
Amiti
While it is hard to cause Sveta grief, it is the lot of all royalty to survive the loss of loved ones.
Matthew, it is time to throw the Apollo Lens switch and end this terrible eclipse.
Sveta
I had thought he was dead, only to find he had become a monster. Now he dies again...
Eoleo
I guess when Volechek dies, my old man will have been avenged...
Himi
Matthew, I will never forget my time with you. You have been an inspiring leader.
Blados
Feh. Looks like you win.
Chalis
You think you're on the side of the angels, but the truth is that there are no angels. No right or wrong.
Volechek
Hrrrooooooo! Hrroooooooooo!
Kraden, if you attempt to leave as Sveta
If you want to go back to town, we should all go together.
Karis
We know you want to stop the eclipse, but you can't just throw your life away!
So much sadness in your eyes... You really are going, aren't you?
Tyrell
Sveta, you've already done more than your share. Let it go.
You're reading my mind now, aren't you, Sveta? Well, good luck.
Rief
I wish I could go in your place. I don't like making you take the risk—it feels ungentlemanly.
If this is beyond Matthew, it's certainly beyond me. I've never felt so helpless.
Amiti
I know you feel that the eclipse is your fault because of your connection to Volechek, but you are blameless.
There is nothing more we can do. I wonder why my mind drifts to Alex at times like this...
Eoleo
Looks like Matthew was able to keep you afloat a little longer. Keep at it.
I'm a pirate, not a diplomat. I wish I could think of something inspirational to say here...
Himi
Just being Morgal royalty doesn't make you responsible for this crisis, Sveta.
Sveta's aura is different than I've ever seen... I believe Matthew's soul is within.
Blados
So what about the switch? Having second thoughts?
Grrr... I can't believe we failed because of this pack of brats...
Chalis
Give me the Umbra Gear. I'll be happy to go in your place...
If I can get ahold of the Umbra Gear, we won't need to worry about the Apollo Lens...
Volechek
Arrrooo... Arrroo... Roooo...
  Death...is...coming...

Belinsk (epilogue)

Left guard outside Belinsk Castle
Will you be returning home soon? You certainly deserve some rest after saving our entire continent.
Right guard outside Belinsk Castle
King Volechek was only able to save us with your help, so we thank you with all our hearts.
Vande
Some ask how we can play after everything that happened. The answer is simple: people need music to heal.
Trumpeter
Did you have a request?
[No] We all enjoy wandering through Morgal playing for whoever wants to listen.
Maybe music can't stop wars, but at least it helps people forget them for a while.
[Yes] With six members, we can play three different songs. Would you like to hear one?
[Choice] Mountain Roc Rising. Lake Bycal Moonlight. Rainbow over Koba Desert. Maybe another time...
Cellist
Ah, music is my life, and life is my music. I'm grateful to King Volechek that I still have both.
Percussionist
Amazingly, our whole band survived everything. I think that qualifies as a miracle.
Pianist
I know we lost a lot of people, but it's easy to forget that when you're looking at a crowd like this.
It looked like the end of the world, but I have a feeling it was really the beginning of the new one.
Violinist
Every member of the band was home when all the bad stuff happened, and we all survived!
Woman left of statue
I hear we won't be having the festival on full moons anymore... Pity. My son always loved it.
Man right of statue
For some reason it's now illegal to play "Arangoa Prelude." It makes me sad that I'll never hear it again.
Young woman at southwest cart
The light hit the tower like a sword slashing through the darkness. That's when everything changed.
You say King Volechek was responsible? Amazing!
Woman atop southwest wall
After the eclipse was over, we started calling it the Sol Tower. It seemed more fitting.
Man atop southwest wall
I guess our hair all changed colors because of the big Psynergy release out of the tower. I like my new do.
Man south of statue
There was a sharp light that struck the Eclipse Tower...and the darkness just evaporated!
Businessman in blue at northwest end
I can't believe King Volechek is gone. We won't see his like again in our lifetimes...
Old man to the southeast
We thought Luna was the basis of the beastmen's power, but Sol empowers us too! Live and learn.
Old woman to the southeast
Everyone seems to have been rejuvenated. I feel so young and vital!
Man atop south arch
Since the Sol event, everyone has been endowed with strange new powers.
My power seems to be calculating compound interest... It comes in handier than you'd think.
Old man in west residence
I can't believe the cravings for tea I've been having lately! It's almost dangerous.
Old woman in west residence
I keep finding puddles on the floor here. I wonder if the roof is leaking...
Man in armory
My heart weeps for King Volechek, the bravest hero I have known. I will fight in his name the rest of my days.
Man downstairs in inn
There's really nothing like the sun, is there? You never know how much you'll miss something until it's gone...
Woman at sanctum
I have to say, I'm a little jealous of how much this "light Psynergy" seems to give the human-borns a boost.
Man upstairs at sanctum
Not every country's king would give his life for his country. King Volechek is Morgal's new patron saint.
Boy on barrel near dock
I've got powers just like an Adept, but instead of boring old fire and wind and stuff, I've got light!
Girl near dock
I... I can see people who shouldn't be here...walking around. Sometimes they call out to me...
Left pirate near sailing ship
I wish we could take ye all the way home, but it bein' the other side o' the world, we'll say our good-byes here.
Center pirate near sailing ship
Seasoned sailors like you are wasted on the land. Come back and visit anytime!
Right pirate near sailing ship
If yer determined to get home, I'm sure nothin' any of us say or do could ever stop you!
Left pirate on sailing ship
Prob'ly about time we brought this ship into Port Rago for some repairs, eh?
Right pirate on sailing ship
I wonder if the legend be true...? Oh, sorry! Thinkin' out loud. Want to know about the legend?
[Yes] Briggs once told me about some kind o' special whirlpool that's a tunnel to another world.
I didn't believe him at first, but he seemed so serious about it...
[No] Not interested in otherworldly treasure, eh? That's all right. Another time, maybe.
Now that I think on it, there was an adventurer who sailed all over, looking for that whirlpool.
If I'm not mistaken, he's a merchant in Yamata City now...
