Pixie enemy line
The Pixie, Faery, and Weird Nymph are enemies that are randomly battled in Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. These monsters, resembling the tiny female humans with wings faeries are stereotypically depicted as, are palette swaps of each other that have differing levels of power and defense and are fought at different locations in the games. Note that all three named variants in this line make appearances in the Pixie Psynergy set in The Lost Age.
In Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Pixie
- For the Pixie Psynergy, see Pixie Psynergy set.
A Pixie (ピクシー) is a blue level 18 variant with green hair and red eyes. Pixies are only encountered throughout Kibombo Mountains.
The Pixie is particularly noteworthy among the monsters fought in its area because of its agility; it is much faster than anything else in the area, which is counterbalanced by it having the lowest HP rating by a pretty wide margin (less than the Dirge). Being fast often equates to being a more damage-dealing monster in general, since the Pixie will get in its hits before the party can whack it aside, unlike a lot of battles where the party might be fast enough to defeat the entire opposing party before they execute an attack of their own.
A Pixie is especially likely to be affected by PP-draining effects. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
Pixie | 75 | 30 | 135 | 31 | 112 | 27 |
Elemental Resistances and Levels | Exp | Coins | Item Dropped | Drop Rate | ||
175 (Lv 1) 100 (Lv 1) 72 (Lv 1) 25 (Lv 2) | 96 | 127 | Nut | 1/8 |
A Pixie uses the following battle commands with moderate intelligence:
Command | Chance to use |
Elem. Stats used with * |
Description |
---|---|---|---|
Attack | 4/8 (50%) |
-- | Standard physical attack. |
Sleep | 2/8 (25%) |
Level 2 | Psynergy costing 5 PP that causes a flock of sheep to fall around the positions of the party. Up to three Adepts have a chance to be afflicted with the Sleep status ailment. |
Bind | 1/8 (12.5%) |
Level 2 | Psynergy costing 4 PP that displays a holographic symbol onto a targeted Adept, attempting to temporarily Seal that Adept's Psynergy capabilities. |
Wind Slash | 1/8 (12.5%) |
110 Power | Psynergy costing 9 PP that projects a moderately wide glowing purple swath of energy through each of multiple Adepts. Deals a Jupiter-aligned attack with 50 base damage that is spread out across 3 enemies with high damage distribution. |
Faery
- For the Faery Psynergy, see Pixie Psynergy set.
A Faery (フェアリー Fairy) is a red level 23 variant with green hair and blue eyes. Faeries are fought throughout Taopo Swamp and Aqua Rock.
Like the Pixie, the Faery is noticeably much faster but less durable than any other monster fought in either area it is also fought in, which for the most part gives it more realized damage potential than a lot of monsters in the game, particularly if it uses Tornado. Of course, there are monsters that would take much more attacking to take down, such as the Roc and Sea Dragon. The Faery seems to give good amounts of EXP and Coins, but technically the aforementioned two monsters give even more. It should be noted that you will always get a nut for felling a Faery with the attack of a Jupiter Djinni.
A Faery is especially likely to be affected by PP-draining effects. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
Faery | 105 | 30 | 182 | 46 | 150 | 27 |
Elemental Resistances and Levels | Exp | Coins | Item Dropped | Drop Rate | ||
175 (Lv 1) 100 (Lv 1) 72 (Lv 1) 25 (Lv 2) | 172 | 175 | Nut | 1/4 |
A Faery uses the following battle commands with moderate intelligence:
Command | Chance to use |
Elem. Stats used with * |
Description |
---|---|---|---|
Attack | 3/8 (37.5%) |
-- | Standard physical attack. |
Sleep | 2/8 (25%) |
Level 2 | Psynergy costing 5 PP that causes a flock of sheep to fall around the positions of the party. Up to three Adepts have a chance to be afflicted with the Sleep status ailment. |
Psy Drain | 1/8 (12.5%) |
110 Power Level 2 |
Psynergy costing 0 PP that may hit the target's PP meter with a Jupiter-aligned attack with 15 base damage, restoring the user's PP by the amount of PP damage dealt. |
Tornado | 1/8 (12.5%) |
110 Power | Psynergy costing 14 PP that causes two large, electrically charged tornadoes to cycle through the positions of the party of Adepts. Deals a Jupiter-aligned attack with 80 base damage that is spread out across 5 enemies with high damage distribution. |
Weird Nypmh
- "Weird Nypmh" redirects here. For the Weird Nymph Psynergy, see Pixie Psynergy set.
The Weird Nypmh (ファニーニンフ Funny Nymph) exists as a named but unused variant in the code in The Lost Age, where none of its statistics and abilities are coded beyond weak placeholder abilities. Had it been used, it would have appeared as a green variant with purple hair and red eyes. Note the apparent name misspelling, which is how it is in the game code.
Interestingly enough, however, in The Lost Age the appearance and identity of this "unused" monster is featured as the visual for the Weird Nymph Psynergy held by the Beast Lord class, and its name is properly spelled as "Weird Nymph". The Weird Nymph was then "officially introduced" as a random monster in Dark Dawn.
In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
Pixie
A Pixie (ピクシー) is a level 10 blue variant with yellow hair. Pixies are fought in the Ei-Jei region near Harapa. They also appear on the surface of Ayuthay and Passaj Mountain Climb before the Grave Eclipse.
Everywhere it is fought, the Pixie is the fastest but least durable enemy, although its Agility rating is only half of what it was in The Lost Age, so there is less of a chance that it will get to attack before the party can down it. In Passaj Mountain Climb, it is possible to encounter groups of up to five Pixies in battle.
A Pixie is especially likely to be affected by PP-draining effects. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
Pixie | 48 | 12 | 74 | 15 | 54 | 26 |
Elemental Resistances and Levels | Exp | Coins | Item Dropped | Drop Rate | ||
175 (Lv 1) 100 (Lv 1) 72 (Lv 1) 25 (Lv 2) | 79 | 53 | Sleep Bomb | 1/16 |

Faery
A Faery (フェアリー Fairy) is a level 18 red variant with green hair. Faeries are encountered in the Craggy Peak Ruins.
Unlike the other variants in this enemy line, the Faery is not the fastest of the enemies where it's encountered; instead, the stronger Dirge is the area's fastest enemy. If players obtained the Zol Ring prior to leaving Passaj, they can equip it to a party member with strong Jupiter Psynergy and use them to easily dispatch Faeries.
A Faery is especially likely to be affected by PP-draining effects. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
Faery | 84 | 24 | 137 | 30 | 112 | 27 |
Elemental Resistances and Levels | Exp | Coins | Item Dropped | Drop Rate | ||
175 (Lv 1) 100 (Lv 1) 72 (Lv 1) 25 (Lv 2) | 177 | 115 | Vial | 1/16 |

Weird Nymph
- "Weird Nymph" redirects here. For the Weird Nymph Psynergy in Golden Sun: The Lost Age, see Pixie Psynergy set.
A Weird Nymph (ファニーニンフ Funny Nymph) is a level 38 purple variant with violet hair. Weird Nymphs are fought in the caves of Gaia Falls Islet, as well as the overworld areas surrounding Gaia Falls Islet and Burning Island Cave.
A Weird Nymph is especially likely to be affected by PP-draining effects. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
