A Sleep Bomb (ねむりだま, Nemuri dama^?, lit. Sleep Bomb) is a consumable item in the Golden Sun series. Like most consumable items, each party member can hold up to 30 sleep bombs in a single inventory slot. When used, a sleep bomb has a chance to put a single enemy to sleep. Sleep bombs cannot be bought, but they can be sold for 45 coins each.

Locations

Golden Sun Sleep Bombs

In the original Golden Sun game, sleep bombs are dropped by Death Caps, Rabid Bats, Cuttles, Acid Maggots, Bone Fighters, Gargoyles, and Kobolds.

Sleep bombs can also be found in the following locations:

• In Vault, found in the rightmost barrel in the item shop.

• In Bilibin, found under the bed in the lower-leftmost house in town.

• In Imil, found in a barrel inside the room with the weapon and armor vendors, on the center left side.

• In Xian, in the lower left white jar in the residential room in the left of the two doors in the small cliff wall.

• In Altin, found in the Inn, check the middle of the top bunk bed on the right side of second floor.

• In Kalay, in a pot to the lower left of the main town's top fountains.

• In Lunpa, examine the upper left gravestone just below the sanctum.

The Lost Age Sleep Bombs

In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, sleep bombs are dropped by Death Caps, Aqua Jellies, Mini-Goblins, Bone Fighters, and Slayers.

Sleep bombs can also be found in the following locations:

• In the first town of Daila, there is a Sleep Bomb in the barrel inside the Inn, next to the entrance
• In Madra, in the jar on the second floor of the Inn
• In a blue jar inside the house up on the north-west plateau in Garoh
• Just outside Alhafra's jail cell, in a jar (below the graves)
• On one of the ledges in a chest in the Gondowan Cliffs
• In the blue jar inside the Naribwe Inn
• In the chest next to the Whirlwind statue that blows you upwards during the climb up Air's Rock
• In the room farthest right inside the cliff face in Champa, in a barrel

Dark Dawn Sleep Bombs

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, sleep bombs are dropped by Goblings, Mole Mages, Pixies, Giant Bats, Skeletons, Killer Apes, Wargolds, Shadow Spirits, Dark Spirits, and Whisper Skulls.

Sleep bombs can also be found in the following locations:

• The shops, inn, and sanctum of Carver's Camp are all located in the same building. A sleep bomb can be found in the barrel in the basement of this building.
• Another sleep bomb sits in the leftmost barrel of Harapa's inn.
• Yet another sleep bomb can be found in a jar in Ayuthay's main temple. However, it can't be reached from the main entrance. Instead, enter the underground portion and take the southeast exit (the Alchemy Well does not need to be reversed). The sleep bomb is in the middle of the three jars.

Analysis

The sleep bomb, like the smoke bomb, is soon outclassed by the increasing Luck factor of enemies and the Sleep Psynergy. Soon useless, it should be sold to buy more useful items.
