Doomsayer enemy line
The Doomsayer and Lich are enemies that are randomly battled in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. These monsters, resembling relatively short human skeletons wearing robes and armed with a skull cane, are palette swaps of each other that have differing levels of power and defense and are fought in different locations in the game. In Golden Sun, there is another enemy named "Lich"; see Ghost enemy line for full details.
In Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Doomsayer
A Doomsayer (デスプリースト Death Priest) is a level 19 variant with a light green robe and an orange scarf. In The Lost Age, it is fought in the Gabomba Statue, and subsequently in Gabomba Catacombs.
The Doomsayer is the most fragile enemy fought in the Gabomba Statue. Although it is the second fastest enemy in the dungeon and has decent offensive capability, it is not a serious threat. Condemn could be problematic, but the Doomsayer rarely casts it, and it succeeds even less frequently.
A Doomsayer is especially likely to be affected by Psynergy Seal. Its statistics are as follows:
Name | HP | PP | Attack | Defense | Agility | Luck |
Doomsayer | 107 | 30 | 148 | 31 | 77 | 21 |
Elemental Resistances and Levels | Exp | Coins | Item Dropped | Drop Rate | ||

Lich
- For the Lich Psynergy, see Lich Psynergy set.
A Lich (リッチ) is a level 33 variant with a purple robe and a red scarf. In The Lost Age, it is fought throughout Magma Rock, in both its exterior and interior portions.
The Lich is one of the easier monsters in Magma Rock, both being slower and less durable than other monsters. As before, it is extremely unlikely you'll get hit with the instant death aspect of its Condemn.
A Lich is especially likely to be affected by Psynergy Seal. Its statistics are as follows:

Bane Wight
The Bane Wight (イビルビシヨップ Evil Bishop) exists as a named but unused variant in the code in The Lost Age, where none of its statistics and abilities are coded beyond weak placeholder abilities. Had it been used, it would have appeared as a variant with a violet-pink robe and a dark purple scarf.
Cultural references
- Lich is an archaic term for a deceased body or corpse. In the modern-day fantasy genre, a Lich is an undead being skilled in magical arts.
