Sea of Time Islet

The lower-right of the islands surrounding the Sea of Time, Sea of time Islet is one of the more important Islets, as it contains the Islet Cave optional dungeon.

The Sea of Time Islet (まの海の東の小島, E Sea of Time's Islet) is a small island located southeast of the Sea of Time and explorable in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It is only inhabited by two old men and a tiny one-room hut, who serve to drop hints about how to defeat Poseidon. Also on the island is a turtle named Lonesome George, who desires a turtle friend of his own to break up the loneliness.

This is by no means an insignificant location from a gameplay perspective. If you give Lonesome George the Li'l Turtle "item" acquired from a dog at West Indra Islet, it will agree to ferry you to a nearby cave entrance in the water, which is the entrance to none other than the optional dungeon Islet Cave, where you can find the final possible Venus Djinni before the Poseidon boss battle. If you have the Teleport Psynergy, you can level-grind against the EXP-rich Wonder Birds within, and battle the optional boss Sentinel to earn the Summon tablet Catastrophe.

• Some players have noticed that the old man on the beach doesn't turn to you when you start talking to him. This could be due to a glitch in the programming.
• The turtle that mentally refers to itself as Lonesome George is a reference to the real-world Pinta Island tortoise individual named Lonesome George, so-named because it was the last-known living individual of its subspecies up until its death on June 24, 2012.
