Angara/The Lost Age

Since most of Angara was explored during the preceding game, only small portions are visited during Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

Enemies

Only two small portions of Angara can be visited during The Lost Age, and each has a different set of monsters to battle.

Champa region

Located south of the Lamakan Desert, this region is cut off from the rest of Angara by tall mountains. As a result, the residents of Champa are primarily a seafaring folk. This region was once home to the Ankohl civilization, but all that remains of them now are a dying art and some ruins east of Champa.

Loho region

Angara's western coastline, again cut off from the rest of the continent by countless mountains. Loho is found here, as is a cave farther north that contains a summon. Although mostly green, there is a small snowy sub-section even farther north than the cave; this area isn't far from Imil, but the mountains make it impossible to reach the town from here.

Trivia

• Both the Champa and Loho regions have noticably different appearances between Golden Sun and The Lost Age, although this can be overlooked for gameplay reasons.
• A glitch south of Loho allows players to revisit a large portion of Angara as it appeared in the previous game. However, this glitch is limited to the Vale, Vault, Kalay, and Tolbi regions, as well as the Suhalla portion of Gondowan. Also, of the locations featured in the previous game, only Vale and Mt. Aleph appear on the map, neither of which can be explored. Likewise, Imil and Mercury Lighthouse can be seen from the sea, but cannot be accessed.
