Aroma being unleashed in The Lost Age
|Battle Effect||Restore party's PP meters by 10%.|
|The Lost Age||Shaman Village|
Aroma is the seventh Jupiter Djinni in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. The separate Djinn list viewable with the Select button from the status screen lists Aroma and all other Jupiter Djinn introduced in The Lost Age before the seven Jupiter Djinn from the original Golden Sun, most likely because all the Djinn from the original game can be gotten all at once late in The Lost Age. However, the original Djinn are ordered before all of the Djinn introduced in The Lost Age in the Djinn inventory screen while they are allocated to characters. By this order, Aroma is the fourteenth Jupiter Djinni in the GBA series, rather than the seventh.
- "Restore everyone's PP."
When Aroma is unleashed in battle, the PP meters of all current battling Adepts are restored by 10% of their respective maximum PP meters.
Visually, Aroma's unleash animation resembles the user summoning the transparent purple image of a Jupiter Djinni above the party, and then a set of long, purple "bands" of wind swirl and wrap loosely around the party and turn white before disappearing.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age: Aroma is located in Shaman Village. First of all, it can only be obtained after Trial Road is cleared because one of the buildings you need to go through is only unlocked for you then. After Trial Road, enter the cubic building built into the side of a rocky ledge to the lower right of the main town area, and come out of its top door and go right to the next screen. Position yourself below a earth pillar and cast Move to move it left one space so that it falls down to create a hoppable piece. Return to the main town, enter Moapa's house, exit out of the bottom door, cast Lash on the coiled rope, and the subsequent path will lead you to where you can hop across the earth pillar and claim Aroma.
General: Aroma is a rare effect that heals a little bit of the whole party's PP meters. While 10% of all Adepts' PP meters is small for the most part, Aroma is superior over other Djinn that have the same effect but only restore 7% of all Adepts' PP meters. It can basically be thought of as the multi-target counterpart to the single-target PP-restoring Djinni Ether the same way the Wish Psynergy series is the party-HP-restoring counterpart to the Ply Psynergy series. Because it heals by a percentage, Aroma's PP-healing values get higher as the party levels up, restoring around 30 PP to each Adept that has 300 PP. If only one Adept is out of PP and needs PP to function, though, then Ether is the superior choice. In Dark Dawn, the identical counterpart to Aroma is the Jupiter Djinni Wisp.
Golden Sun: The Lost Age: Aroma is the improvement over the previous game's Mars Djinni Ember, which restores a meager 7% PP to the party. Ember, of course, would be obsoleted once Isaac's party joins because Aroma can be found before then. Aroma can be unleashed during a random battle or two to help the whole party's PP meters somewhat if the party is deep in a large dungeon without any Psynergy Stone nearby.
An aroma is a scent that drifts on the airways.
