An Otafuku Mask (おたふくのめん, Otafuku no men^?, lit. Otafuku Mask) is a Mask-class item found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age.

In Golden Sun: The Lost Age

The Otafuku Mask can be Used in battle to unleash a version of the monster skill Water Breath. Water Breath is Mercury-based and will have a base damage rating of 50 and a range of up to 3 targets, but with low damage distribution. In The Lost Age, it is available as a rare drop from Gressil in the Izumo Ruins; felling the Gressil with an offensive Jupiter Djinni multiplies the drop rate by 4. The Otafuku Mask is limited to female Adepts, namely Jenna, Sheba, and Mia.

The Otafuku Mask is one of two items that grants the player access to a specific monster skill, rather than a Psynergy. Like other usable items, it does not need to be equipped to be used. Thus, it can be kept in an Adept's inventory. While a collectible novelty item, its Use effect is too weak to be of use. To put it in perspective, the Glacier Psynergy has exactly double the base power, as well as a better diminishing ratio that makes the enemies off to the side of the target take more of the spell's damage. Therefore, the only measure of its usefulness is its Defense rating, which might be high enough to suffice as a defensive upgrade to either Jenna or Sheba for a period of time, though the forgeable items Astral Circlet and Floating Hat are stronger pieces.
