|Elemental Resistance Boosts||20|
|Special Equip Effect||Multiplies Luck rating by 1.2.|
Basic Description by Game
The Floating Hat increases the wearer's base defense by 34 points, increases Jupiter resistance by 20 points and multiplies the wearer's current Luck rating by a factor of 1.2. It can be sold for 4275 coins, and subsequently rebought for 5700 coins.
In The Lost Age, it is obtained by bringing a Sylph Feather forgeable item to Sunshine the Blacksmith in Yallam, where he will randomly forge it into either that or several other items, and then buying it from him. The chance of forging the Floating Hat from a Sylph Feather is 20%. As a Hat, it can be equipped by all Adepts.
The Floating Hat is one of the stronger pieces of headwear available prior to entering Lemuria, defensively speaking. The Floating Hat's bonus to Jupiter Resistance, while beneficial, does not see much practical use due to the lack of major enemies with Jupiter-aligned attacks at this stage of the game. In addition, the low multiplicative factor to luck does not see much difference at this stage. However, the defensive bonus, combined with its wide availability, means that it will still see use. Once the player reaches Lemuria, the player can replace any Floating Hats with a Crown of Glory or a Minerva Helm.
