Page class series

From Golden Sun Universe
(Redirected from Page)

The Page class series is a dual-elemental class series available to the Mars Adepts, and to a lesser extent, the Jupiter Adepts. Both kinds of Adepts require Jupiter and Mars Djinn to achieve this class series; the Mars Adepts requiring more Jupiter Djinn and the Jupiter Adepts requiring more Mars Djinn.

This class series is very similar to the Apprentice class series, with which it shares the classes of Illusionist, Enchanter, Conjurer, and War Adept, as well as the statistical shifts. The only difference between the two class series is slightly different Psynergy.

Noteworthy Psynergy from an endgame perspective includes Thunder Mine, Impact/High Impact, and Ward/Resist, and the heaviest area-of-effect Psynergy it has is Pyroclasm (contrast with the Apprentice series' Grand Gaia). Average stats from an endgame perspective are 152% (164% if you don't factor in Luck).

In all games, an Adept in this class series is especially likely to be affected by Psynergy Seal-inflicting effects.

Analysis

The Page class series is surprisingly useful, but is unfortunately outshone by its big brothers, the Ninja class series and Samurai class series. It has Attack, HP, and Defense stats that are on par with other dual-elemental classes, while having the highest PP of any class available to a Mars Adept and Agility second only to the Ninja class series.

As far as Psynergy goes, Impact and High Impact are invaluable, with the rest of the non-damaging Psynergy being useful as well. The Page class series is arguably better than the Apprentice class series due to Guard and Protect fitting in with the skillset better than Haunt/Curse do.

Perhaps the War Adept's most useful feature is its high Jupiter Power. Some of the strongest unleashes in the game are Jupiter-elemental, such as Legend, Centurion, and Emerald Blitz, which means that the War Adept has an edge over other classes with similar Attack stats when using those weapons.

The biggest fault of the Page class series is that it is overshadowed by the tri-elemental Ninja and Samurai class series. The Master has stats that are better suited to attacking, since a 20% increase in Attack will outweigh 10 Jupiter Power. Ronin has better-rounded stats while retaining pretty much all of the War Adept's stat-increasing Psynergy. It also has the amazing Quick Strike, which outshines Thunder Mine in most situations.

If those tri-element classes aren't an option for whatever reason, though, the Page class series makes for a useful addition to the team.
