List of Shirts
Equippable items largely fall into four "primary equipment slots" on a given Adept: one weapon and three "armor slots" representing what is worn on the body, head, and hands. However, there are several other collections of equippable items that are not equipped into any of these primary slots, but instead into undefined "sub-slots" that prevent the Adept from equipping more than one of that supplementary type of equipment at a time. As an example, the items listed on this page belong to a Shirt-class category, which do not conflict with mainline body-slot gear.
In Golden Sun and The Lost Age, Shirts are always Artifacts and almost exclusively won as prizes from the Lucky Wheels minigame in settlements available later in each game: Tolbi and Contigo, respectively. Getting shirts, boots, and rings out of Lucky Wheels is the primary function of the Game Tickets you steadily amass while spending coins at vendors throughout each game. Any of the eight Adepts can wear shirts, and an ideal endgame-level party would have everyone wearing a Shirt-class item even though doing so takes up an extra space of inventory. This entire category of item is removed in Dark Dawn.
Shirts in the following lists are ordered by their sell values.
Introduced in Golden Sun
Running Shirt: Adds 1 Defense and 15 Agility. An Artifact shirt randomly won by lining up five shirt icons in Lucky Wheels at Tolbi in Golden Sun and Contigo in The Lost Age. Sells for 300 coins.
Silk Shirt: Adds 6 Defense and 1 Luck, but can only be equipped by females. An Artifact shirt randomly won by lining up five shirt icons in Lucky Wheels at Tolbi in Golden Sun and Contigo in The Lost Age. Sells for 1,350 coins.
Mythril Shirt: Adds 10 Defense and 5 maximum HP. An Artifact shirt randomly won by lining up five shirt icons in Lucky Wheels at Tolbi in Golden Sun and Contigo in The Lost Age. Sells for 2,175 coins.
Introduced in The Lost Age
Golden Shirt: Adds 12 Defense and 10 maximum HP. An Artifact shirt that is left on the floor in Shaman Village Cave after winning a battle against the Colosso Gladiators that triggers while walking through the cave following the Reunion. This event can only happen if the game was enhanced with a password from a Golden Sun clear data file in which Isaac successfully defeated Navampa during the Colosso Finals. Sells for 1,800 coins.
Hidden in the code of The Lost Age are three fully functioning shirt-class items that remain dummied-out:
Casual Shirt: Adds 3 Defense and 5 HP recovered at the end of each turn, but can only be equipped by males. An Artifact shirt that can only be acquired in the Debug Room in The Lost Age. Sells for 37 coins.
Herbed Shirt: Adds 7 Defense, and can be Used anytime to restore 50 HP. An Artifact shirt that can only be acquired in the Debug Room in The Lost Age. Sells for 1,425 coins; if its Use function is broken, it will cost 475 coins to repair, and the item will sell for 950 coins until then.
Divine Camisole: Adds 10 Defense and 5 Luck, but can only be equipped by females. An Artifact shirt that can only be acquired in the Debug Room in The Lost Age. Sells for 2,025 coins.
