Pierrot class series

From Golden Sun Universe
(Redirected from Acrobat)
One of the signature series of the Pierrot class is the Juggle set.

The Pierrot class series is a special class series that is only attainable when the Mysterious Card is equipped to any character. Consequently, this is one of only three class series that can be learned by any Adept. This class also features at least one Psynergy from every element, though the majority are Mars and Jupiter.

The class series, when at its highest stage of Acrobat and compared to the other series at their highest respective stages, has high HP, good Agility, and average Attack, but lower Defense and very low PP. The series has a high Luck rating. Noteworthy Psynergy from an endgame perspective includes Sabre Dance, Backstab, and Avoid, and the heaviest area-of-effect Psynergy it has are Frost Card and Fiery Juggle. Average stats from an endgame perspective are 145% (150% if you don't factor in Luck).

As of the Game Boy Advance titles, an Adept in this class series is no more likely to be affected by any particular status condition or secondary effect.

Analysis

While the PP pool leaves a bit to be desired and the attack and defense stats don't turn many heads either, the "card" damage series of Psynergy gives an Adept 4 decent multi-target attacks of four different elements, and the Juggle series is a potent ability from day one. Fortunately, these abilities won't drain the lacking PP pool TOO fast, though long drawn out battles will strain it, and in the earlier portions of the game, the weak PP pool is even more glaring. The decent agility stat ensures that the Pierrot will be able to get his or her attacks off fairly quickly, though there are several classes which have better numbers.

With a good array of multi-target abilities, the Pierrot series is much better for ordinary fights. The Sabre Dance move, however, can be an effective weapon against bosses given its high attack multiplier.

Like all Item Dependent classes however, specializing an Adept into the Pierrot Class will leave an awkward number of Djinn floating around.

Trivia

The Pierrot series is one of two series, the other being the Samurai class series, that learns no Psynergy spells at level 1.
