A Chronos Mail (クロノスメイル, Chronos Mail^?) is an Armor-class piece of armor introduced in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It can be forged from a Golem Core.

In Golden Sun: The Lost Age

In The Lost Age, it is obtained by bringing a Golem Core forgeable item to Sunshine the blacksmith in Yallam, where he will randomly forge it into that or several other items, and then buying it from him. As an Armor-class item, it is equippable by the warrior-style Adepts Felix, Piers, Isaac, and Garet.

The high Defense rating and boost to HP make this probably the best item to have in the chest slot of an Adept's equipment if an Adept needs to have more overall sturdiness. Various players would likely prefer high-defense gear that provides bonuses of a different category, though, such as for resistance (Storm Gear), attack power (Xylion Armor), or Unleash rate increase (Valkyrie Mail and Mythril Clothes).

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, the Chronos Mail is now a rare drop from a Grisly, which is located in and around Snowdrift Shrine. It can be equipped by Matthew, Tyrell, and Eoleo.

The Chronos Mail is a rare drop in Dark Dawn; because Dark Dawn has no known RNG methods, the Chronos Mail can be seen as much harder to come by, opposed to the previously mentioned armors, which are either forgable or treasure chest finds. If you do get one to drop, it will still pull its weight giving its wielder extra overall sturdiness.
