The Asura's Armor (あしゅらのよろい, Ashura no yoroi^?, lit. Asura's Armor) is an Armor-class piece of armor found in Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn.

In Golden Sun

In Golden Sun, it is found in a treasure chest in the eastern path in Tunnel Ruins, in a room where the only thing visible is a female statue. Casting Reveal in this room will reveal the chest in the place of the statue. In Golden Sun, Asura's Armor can be equipped by Isaac and Garet. Asura's Armor can be transferred to Golden Sun: The Lost Age as part of a password-enhanced game, where it can be equipped by Felix and Piers.

In Golden Sun, Asura's Armor is general-purpose late-game gear that has a solid Defense rating, a usefully high HP regeneration rating, and a small bonus to Attack rating all in one package, which may make it useful for consideration and makes it comparable to Dragon Scales, Storm Gear, and Demon Mail as among the first game's best armor. It is a solid piece of armor to keep in the inventory for transfer into The Lost Age, though the best armor of that game is all around better than this for specific reasons (like the Valkyrie Mail and Xylion Armor).

In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn

In Dark Dawn, Asura's Armor is found in a chest in Lonely Island Ruins, and can be equipped by Matthew, Tyrell, and Eoleo. It is one of only two pieces of equipment available to Warrior-style Adepts that also regenerates HP, the other being the difficult-to-obtain Gloria Helm. Asura's Armor is a solid choice for exploring the Eastern Sea, and both Tyrell and Eoleo can benefit from it. The Attack boost helps increase the power of their elemental physical Attacks. Meanwhile, the HP regeneration combined with the tough defenses of both Adepts gives them both great endurance in battle.

If the player can gain access to the Gloria Helm, which is a rare drop, then both the Helm and Asura's Armor can be combined for massive HP regeneration that is nearly equivalent to the mage-Adepts' Mysterious Robe. If the player prefers to have a higher Attack boost, then they may consider the forgeable Xylion Armor, which gives more than twice the Attack boost.

In various Asian religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism, Asuras are a race of powerful deities. In Hindu mythology, they are described as power-seeking and are in a constant battle with the more benevolent Devas. In Buddhism, asuras are the lowest class of deities or demigods of the Kāmadhātu, or the desire realm, and are often depicted as having three faces and either four or six arms.
