Bloody Claw

The Bloody Claw (ブラッディクロー, Bloody Claw^?) is a Claw-class weapon introduced in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. It is the strongest Claw-class weapon in the game, and also grants the third-highest Attack increase in the series, behind the Sol Blade and Darksword.

The Bloody Claw is cursed, meaning that it occasionally will immobilize the user during a turn unless the wielder also equips the Cleric's Ring. They will also be unable to unequip the Bloody Claw, unless they go to a Sanctum. In Dark Dawn, the Bloody Claw is found in the treasure room of Crossbone Isle. It is exclusive to Sveta.

The Bloody Claw has three Unleashes: Endless Edges (ミリオンエッジ, Million Edge^?), Foul Saw (イービルソー, Evil Saw^?), and Crimson Cut (レッドエアヒュー, Red Air Hue^?). Endless Edges deals Jupiter-based damage equivalent to a standard physical attack, multiplied by 1.5. It may also occasionally ignore 50% of the target's Defense. Foul Saw deals Venus-based damage equivalent to a normal physical attack multiplied by 1.6 with a range of 3 adjacent targets. It may also inflict Death Curse on the targets. Crimson Cut deals Jupiter-based damage equivalent to a standard attack multiplied by 1.9, and may inflict Haunt on the target.

The Bloody Claw is one of the strongest weapons in the game. Unlike other cursed weapons, it can be equipped almost immediately, as the Cleric's Ring is located in the same room. All three Unleashes have excellent damage multipliers to go alongside the high Attack increase. However, if the player makes use of Beastform often, the Bloody Claw may be overkill. In Beastform, Sveta will usually reach the Attack-limit of 1999 with ease.

In addition, the Bloody Claw cannot be used against the final boss, the only boss in Dark Dawn that can be refought, due to the Umbra Knuckles being required for exploration of the dungeon. While the Bloody Claw could be used for post-game travels, it requires the player to explore Crossbone Isle as soon as possible, in order to get the most use.
