Tinder is a Mars Djinni and one of the 44 collectable Djinn introduced in Golden Sun: The Lost Age, and it is also one of the 72 collectable "mainstream" Djinn in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. In the former game, it can be collected at Hesperia Settlement at the west end of Hesperia, which becomes accessible as soon as the party starts sailing in the Western Sea late in the game. The circumstances surrounding Tinder's availability in the latter title coincidentally mirrors those of its prior appearance, where it can be reached as soon as the party starts sailing in the Eastern Sea late in that game. Reaching it on a rooftop in the city of Tonfon at the east edge of Angara involves solving an environmental puzzle using the Slap Psynergy on an NPC to make him move his boat. In both games, unleashing it in battle emulates the extremely useful function of the otherwise limited and expensive Water of Life item, which fully revives a downed party member to 100%. This makes it a superior version of the Mercury Djinni Dew from the GBA titles and the Mars Djinni Glow from the DS title, both of which only produce a 90% chance to revive the targeted party member to 80% of their maximum HP.
