Possible confusion

Say, does anyone think we should have a disambiguating version of this page? After all, "Dragon" could refer to a lot of things besides one specific enemy that just happens to be called "Dragon". The World's Hungriest Paperweight 14:10, 24 April 2012 (CDT)Reply[reply]

Ironically enough, I was considering being the one to bring up this proposal. So I think that probably could work. However, the real question might be whether it is worth making it more articlish than a straight-up disambig, with a description of the general usage of dragons in fantasies and a list of all Dragonish things in the games. Hrmmm... Well, I don't think it's really our place to talk about fantasy in general, except as an aside (like what's seen in many trivia sections). What's more important is discussing how these things relate to the Golden Sun series. Having a list of all dragon-esque things might not be a bad idea, though, as that's basically just an extension of what most disambiguation articles do.* I think we should start with dragon-type enemies, though: Blue Dragon enemy line, Great Dragon, the Fusion and Doom Dragons, etc. The draconic summons would be a nice addition, too (Would Azul count, or is that more of a sea serpent). Not sure what else we'd include... Oh, and should we make it on this page, or keep this as a redirect and create a new article like Dragons (disambiguation) or Dragons in the Golden Sun series? Yeah, more of an aside - it wouldn't be a dissection of fantasy, it'd more likely be something as simple as "Golden Sun, like a lot of other high fantasy-themed works, features dragon-like creatures". For the distinction between dragons and sea serpents (and wyverns too), I think the aside itself could easily be the place to say something along the lines of Golden Sun having traditional dragonlike designs in Eclipse and also certain sea-serpent-like dragonlike entities like Azul and the Sea Dragon enemy line. To avoid overcomplicating things, a list of dragon-like enemies in this page would probably only contain the enemy lines that have members that actually have "dragon" in their names (even though that would include the Plesiosaurus-like Sea Dragon enemy line). The article content can also make mention of how Mars Lighthouse shows that dragons symbolically represent the Mars element. As for the article title, I'd guess it's sufficient to just leave the article at "Dragon", to make it more likely that your typical reader can stumble upon it.
