Spoiler warning: The following section(s) contain plot details that some people may not wish to learn before reaching this point in the game on their own.

After the Golden Sun event, the country of Morgal, was founded as a nation for beastmen, a hybrid man-beast race that emerged after the Golden Sun event. At some point, the country was then invaded and forcefully colonized by the growing empire of Sana. During this invasion, Volechek's father, then king of Morgal, was killed. Emperor Ko instilled Lord Kuan as the governor of the country. When the Emperor died, Sana erupted in a civil war, which disrupted relations between the colony and the mother country. At this time the beastmen - presumably lead by Volechek - took advantage of the chaos and revolted against their oppressors. In the final battle of the war, the Morgal Beastmen successfully won their independence, helped by the fact that Sana could not send aid to their colonists. Volechek, son of Morgal's former king, killed the Sanan governor, Lord Kuan, in the battle and was credited for the victory.

Aftermath

In the aftermath of the war, any remaining Sanan citizens were forced to flee Morgal for their lives. Meanwhile, Volechek became the king of the newly independent country of Morgal. Morgal quickly grew into a powerful country with their capital, Belinsk, becoming one of the largest cities in Weyard. In Sana, Kuan's brother became the Emperor of Sana following the civil war, and made Sana into a peaceful country.

However, the beastmen retained a dislike of Sanan citizens. Kuan's daughter would be taken hostage by the beastmen, while Kuan's son was forced to retreat to the small village of Te Rya.
