NIWA isn't hosting you
You guys realize, NIWA isn't hosting you, as NIWA technically doesn't host anyone. You are independent of any wiki farms. Kind of a requirement to be in NIWA. Tacopill 20:45, 25 November 2010 (CST).
- Is that so? Thanks for clarifying ^_^ Erik the Appreciator 20:50, 25 November 2010 (CST)
- It's not a problem. Tacopill 20:51, 25 November 2010 (CST).
- In other words, what we are now is affiliated with NIWA, right? Erik the Appreciator 20:52, 25 November 2010 (CST)
- You will technically, I believe, become a member of NIWA. So instead of being on the hidden-away affiliates page, you'll be on the main page. :) Not sure really what else comes out of it, as I'm not a member. --Aredmoon 20:59, 25 November 2010 (CST)
- We're getting you there :p Things moved faster than we expected. But I'm trying to wrap it up quickly. We'll need someone's email for the contact page and a blurb for the NIWA About page. Oh and you can join the forums whenever. Most of the tech talk, such as advertising and extension advice takes place in the hidden/staff only portions. Axiomist 21:04, 25 November 2010 (CST)
- My questions about the contact email thing mainly concern what kind of emails whoever forwards their email for the Contact page can expect to get, and what kind of responsibility being on the Contact page entails. If it has to be someone focused on this wiki, it would either be me or User:Dracobolt. Erik the Appreciator 21:27, 25 November 2010 (CST)

- The only email I've ever gotten from it was from Dr. Ishmael at GuildWars Wikia asking for recommendations on our hosting plan. Other than that, people from WiKirby emailed me to pay compliments, not all of them were in English, but Google Translator gave nice results :D The intended use of it is for say if someone is caught by a rangeblock or some other reason for not being able to access the wiki, they'll have at least one more way to get their message through. You can always create an email specifically to keep your real email private and enable mail forwarding.Axiomist 21:35, 25 November 2010 (CST)
- Ok, now you guys are in NIWA! and welcome! Tacopill 00:30, 1 December 2010 (CST).
Archive
With the new main page, I kinda want to create a News Archive. My question is, how should it be done? We could do it as a seperate page, or just move news to a noinclude section on the template. feedback?~ dkpat 11:11, 30 December 2010 (CST)
- I suppose a no-include section would be more convenient... Erik the Appreciator 11:49, 30 December 2010 (CST)
- That was my thoughts on it. Would be quicker and easier to do it as a noinclude section. I suppose I'll get to compiling old news now :P ~ dkpat 12:33, 30 December 2010 (CST)
