Talk:Himi
Appearance
she kinda looks like Uzume from Izumo ★Crescent moon★ 04:50, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
Any other Legend of Zelda fans here? Or am I the only one who noticed that the third eye thing Himi gets looks a lot like the Shiekah's sign, which appears on the Eye of Truth (that grants Link the ability to see the unseen). It also appears on the Gossip Stones... And on top of all that, Himi has red eyes, like the Shiekah. Weird. I just thought I'd mention that.--Knight-Dawn 09:02, 13 January 2011 (CST)
- Hunh. That could make for a decent entry in the trivia section, but I'm too preoccupied to double-check this myself. I wonder if that was intentional... HungryPaperweight 11:52, 13 January 2011 (CST)
- They are similar but the Sheikah symbol is usually shown with a teardrop at the bottom. The third eye symbol does not. Tzion 12:23, 13 January 2011 (CST)
Recently, someone has pointed that zelda thing out at the page of her search psynergy, so dont worry about it
Yamatai Kingdom
Yamatai Kingdom was a place in ancient Japan ruled by a Shaman-Queen known as Himiko. I think we can safely assume this is the inspiration for Yamatai and Himi in Golden Sun. I'm going to change it to "from Izumo" rather than "from Xian or Izumo;" that dress isn't Chinese, it's Japanese, and everything about her – name, hometown, and story – is Japanese. Weapons
It seems Himi can equip Light Blades, and they look like Katana in battle. That's awesome. DarkHeroRaven 19:34, November 7, 2010 (UTC)
Yamatai?
Are we sure that she comes from this Yamatai? Cause if she's dauther of Susa, she will probably be from Izumo, like her father...
The town where you recruit her is Yamatai not Izumo, and Izumo (along with Gaia rock) aren't visitable locations. Her infopage on the JP website mentions her as Yamatai's priestess as well. Susa and Kushinada are both found in that same town. more details may come when the english version is released though. Slax01 21:52, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
Tisiphone Edge
I might be missing something here but Tisiphone Edge is a TLA weapon, so why is it even mentioned on Himi's page?Kim Kjærgaard Jensen 20:48, November 18, 2010 (UTC)Cosmikaze
- It's assumed by the author of that segment that the weapon is obtainable in DD; furthermore, one of the things that frustrated people about the Tisiphone Edge in TLA was that the character who were best off using it (who could equip better weapons), were Fire and Wind Adepts. Himi is an Earth adept, and thus can get take advantage of the colour-changing damage of the unleash. Marandahir 12:22, 6 December 2010 (CST)
- It is in DD, I've got it. I think the comment is a bit silly though, since the power of the edge is much more arguable than it was in TLA, due to several factors. Slax 17:04, 6 December 2010 (CST)
Samurai Alternative
The inability of Himi to use the Samurai class series could be indicative of plans to include a new triple element class that would be exclusive to Himi that were later dropped. Is there any way to investigate the game's coding to see if such a class exists.Tzion 21:19, 8 January 2011 (CST)
