Scripted Battles?

As of this typing, I'm starting my third playthrough. Not long ago, I noticed that there aren't much in the way of random encounters here. I think they're all scripted. As I recall, there were A.) two Slimes, B.) two Flutter Seeds, and C.) two Flutter Seeds and a Slime (or was it two Slimes and a Flutter Seed? I can't exactly go back to check).
