Which element?

Are we sure Laurel is a Venus adept? Her powers seem more in-line with those of a Jupiter adept. Swenthorian (talk) 21:55, 6 May 2022 (CDT)

I suppose my categorizing her as Venus is more a presumption than anything else, based on what kind of entity she is (tree) and how the Tret boss battle primarily uses Venus-aligned Psynergy. I'm not sure it's worth changing Psynergy icons at this point, though, or even trying to assign both Venus and Jupiter icons to her in templates and the like. There's enough evidence pointing to the fact she's Venus aligned between Tret and her association to Pewter. Also, Tret's abilities also appear to be Jupiter inspired (Mind Read, a Halt-like ability) but is still considered Venus. --Plexa (talk) 10:07, 11 May 2022 (CDT)

While Tret primarily uses Venus Psynergy, the game does (iirc) explicitly say that Laurel's powers are different from Tret's. I believe the GS Fandom lists Laurel's element as unknown, but reminiscent of Jupiter. -- Swenthorian (talk) 20:12, 15 May 2022 (CDT)

And as for them being trees: Trees are actually composed almost entirely of water and solidified air! They take almost no mass from soil matter. The wood etc is mostly just carbon pulled out of the air when the plants release water through their leaves. There's a good reason why the structure of many trees looks a lot like an inversion of a human lung! And their roots typically require air pockets underground, too. So, they're not as Earthy as one might think.

And wands are typically associated with the element of Air in the occult (some groups (imho incorrectly) associate it with Fire; but afaik none associate it with Earth or Water.).

Nevertheless, in Golden Sun logic, all of the plant-related Psynergies are Venus-affiliated, so maybe this whole point is moot.
