I think that the Getting the Tisiphone Edge section should be reworked into a page for the RNG method itself, because there are a lot of weapons to be gotten from enemies and to have a "how to get" section on all of them could get cumbersome. Resolver 21:06, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, we already have a page for the Random Number Generator. It's not too impressive just yet. I've been meaning to add info I've found on GameFAQs (not copy-and-pasted, of course). But I've also thought adding RNG methods on tons of different articles would get out of hand, for several reasons. One reason is that you'd have to come up with a (more or less) new method each time. Another is that some things can't be predicted, like how many monsters will be in the enemy party. But perhaps the biggest problem is, similar to what you were saying, the matter of figuring out what articles deserve RNG methods. Our opinions are bound to vary greatly, and "good faith" editors will no doubt try adding all sorts of methods to articles that don't need them.
- Long story short, once I finally expand the RNG article, I'm going to see if we can get item-specific RNGs removed from the wiki, except maybe as examples on the RNG page. The world's hungriest paperweight 21:24, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I actually looked for the RNG page after I wrote that, and it is sparse. I'm gonna go put more ideas on that talk page. Resolver 00:03, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Revisiting Getting the x Sections
These sections require the player to be a certain level, which is not given. Long story short, they're situational, and probably shouldn't still be on the wiki. Especially since we now have to overhaul the weapon pages in general for Dark Dawn content. Marandahir 10:23, 29 December 2010 (CST)
