Hey, Erik. Regarding your adding categories to redirects: although it does make sense "from a certain point of view", there's something you seem to have forgotten: if you're looking at, say, this article and want to know which categories it belongs to, you won't see the categories that are on the redirects. Although if you're looking at the category you can come here, you can't go in reverse. I'll admit, it also seems weird to put "Venus-based offenses" on the page when only one out of eight Psynergies is Venus-based, but not being able to go to Category:Venus-based offenses from the page is also a problem. Any idea how to solve this?
I doubt this is possible, but it would be neat if we could add the category to the page without the article appearing in the category. Then we could add categories to redirects all the time. Oh, wait, that came out wrong. I meant we could add the category to both the article and its redirects, but only the redirects would appear in the category, not the article itself. (I remember you once trying to do this with Unleashes that redirect to their weapons.) The world's hungriest paperweight 15:32, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Knew it was a good idea to only do all the Psynergies for one element. ;) Anyway, if it were possible to put categories in pages so that they display in category pages with actually different titles (An unleash category in Phaeton's Blade showing up as Light Surge in the category page itself for example), that would've been done for all the articles long ago, but Hinoa himself affirmed that's not possible.
- The ONLY solution I can think of is to add *links* to the categories in the merged pages so that they don't show up as actual categories in the category pages themselves (like what you just did with "Category:Venus-based offenses", which links to the category page without including this talk page as part of the category.) I'm guessing for the Card Psynergy Set, we should place this right above the page's actual category syntax:
