Dwarf

From Golden Sun Universe
The people who settled Loho resemble classic dwarves, though their race is not given a label in-universe.

Dwarves are a humanlike race featured in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. They have founded a mining settlement near the west coast of Angara named Loho, which can only be reached by sailing in from the Western Sea. They are noteworthy for being among the world of Weyard's select few non-human races seen throughout the series, the others being the people of Prox, the werewolves of Garoh, and the Beastmen introduced in Dark Dawn.

Characteristics

Physiology

Dwarves are not much different from regular humans, and their distinguishing feature seems to be their short height, red beards and large battered-looking noses. They share the common characteristics of dwarves in other works of high-fantasy, having a fascination for the mining and forging trade. Also, they do not appear to have the equivalent of a female among their population, which is also true of other fictitious dwarven races.

Origin

They describe themselves as settlers from the Northern Reaches, and that they happened upon the ruins and the cannon while in search of valuable ores. While they are from the region the Mars Clan was based in, it is not seen as very plausible that the dwarves are direct descendants of them.
