I think this was an issue we gave consideration to a long time ago. According to some senior member at WordReference.com, the plural of staff as a stick is either "staffs" or "staves", but "staves" sounds more archaic. That would make them both acceptable, but "staffs" would become the more proper spelling for a more modern site. Also, what may be a factor is that the singular word "stave" exists separately from "staff" (the word used in the actual games), and the common reader may be more likely to associate the plurals "staves" and "staffs" with the similarly-spelled singular nouns "stave" and "staff" respectively. The only real reason we can't definitively decide one over the other more easily is because none of the games themselves have used either plural, as far as I can remember. If it did, we could at least keep consistent to the more "Golden Sunnish" plural the games use. Erik the Appreciator 12:16, 23 June 2012 (CDT)
