The Scoop Gem (スコップのジム, Gem of Scoop?) is a Utility Psynergy item featured in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. It bestows the Scoop Psynergy, and it can displace any small tile of dirt to uncover either an item or a hidden entrance underneath.
The Scoop Gem is in the possession of the King Scorpion in Yampi Desert. After the player chases it to the end of several puzzle-like screens in the desert, the King Scorpion uses the gem to make Felix's party drop into its underground lair so that it can engage them in battle. The Scoop Gem is awarded upon defeating the boss and is immediately used to get back out of the lair by unplugging a source of natural water in the center of the room.
In addition to uncovering features at certain dirty locations, Scoop always has a very slim chance of giving the player a free, cheap item when used at any piece of dirt, sand, or snow.
