The Minotaurus, Minos Warrior, and Minos Knight are species of monsters found in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. These monsters, resembling humanoid bulls with axes, are palette swaps of each other and have differing levels of power and defense. All are associated with the Venus element. This monster line is notable because all three of its members can drop a rare piece of equipment not findable anywhere else.

Minotaurus

A medium-sized member with pink skin. The Minotaurus has 268 HP, 276 Attack, 84 Defense, 123 Agility, and 18 Luck. It is resistant to Venus attacks but quite susceptible to Jupiter attacks.

A Minotaurus can attack with a physical attack and the Monster Skill Power Crush, which is an attack that has a chance of lowering a stricken party member's HP to 1. This enemy is therefore quite strong, particularly if the player encounters it shortly after acquiring the Lemurian Ship.

Felling a Minotaurus yields 318 EXP, 207 coins, and in rare cases, a unique and powerful axe (at that point) called the Tartarus Axe. Kill it with a Jupiter Djinni to increase the chance it will drop this weapon by four times. Minotaurus are found in Tundaria Tower and Ankohl Ruins.

Minos Warrior

A medium-sized member with blue skin. The Minos Warrior has 353 HP, 397 Attack, 130 Defense, 164 Agility, and 20 Luck. It is resistant to Venus attacks but quite susceptible to Jupiter attacks.

Minos Warriors can attack with a physical attack, the Monster Skill Power Crush which has a chance of lowering a stricken party member’s HP to 1, and it can increase its attack rating by a good amount with the Sack monster skill.

Felling a Minos Warrior yields 525 EXP, 276 coins, and in rare cases, a unique Staff called Clotho’s Distaff. Kill it with a Jupiter Djinni to increase the chance it will drop this weapon by four times. Minos Warriors are battled in Mars Lighthouse, and is one of the stronger enemies found there.

Minos Knight

A medium-sized member with green skin. The Minos Knight has 454 HP, 517 Attack, 170 Defense, 175 Agility, and 21 Luck. It is resistant to Venus attacks but quite succeptible to Jupiter attacks.

Minos Knights can attack with a physical attack, the Monster Skill Power Crush which has a chance of lowering a stricken party member’s HP to 1, and it can increase its attack rating by a good amount with the Sack monster skill. Being much tougher than the Minos Warrior, this makes the Minos Knight one of the most potentially damaging enemies in The Lost Age.

Felling a Minos Knight yields 577 EXP, 294 coins, and in very rare cases, unique gloves called the Riot Gloves, arguably one of the best pieces of equipment in The Lost Age. Kill it with a Jupiter Djinni to increase the chance it will drop this armor by four times. Minos Knights are battled in the optional Yampi Desert Cave.
