From Golden Sun Universe
Harun Village finds itself dangerously close to the perimeter of the effects of the Grave Eclipse.

Harun Village (ハリン, Harin) is located on an island far to the east of Angara - specifically, the Morgal region - and north of Nihan. It is home to Ikan the Storyteller.

Spoiler warning: The following section(s) contain plot details that some people may not wish to learn before reaching this point in the game on their own.
Harun Village is the closest island to the epicenter of the Grave Eclipse, and so beastman refugees from Belinsk come in search of a safe haven.

After the Grave Eclipse is triggered, Matthew's party is forced to flee Belinsk in Briggs' ship. The group manages to survive fierce storms, and ends up in the open ocean. After some discussion, the group decides to find land near the edges of the Eclipse, so that they may observe it from the outside. The ground finds such an area at Harun Island.

Upon arriving at the island, they learn that the son and grandson of Ikan the storyteller have both been missing since the eclipse. The group is told that both men headed west, and so go to look for them. They come to Harun Channel and find Kaba sitting with his father. The two had been out fishing when the storm (and the Eclipse) had started, and Kaba's father had been injured. Rief uses his Psynergy, which Kaba perceives as light, to heal Kaba's father. Both Kaba and his father then return to Ikan's home, followed by Matthew's party.

The group introduces themselves to Ikan, who requests to see the power that the Adepts used to heal his son. Matthew uses his Move Psynergy on a nearby crate, and is surprised when Ikan indicates that he can somehow see Psynergy. Ikan then relates a prophecy regarding the nearby Watchtower on Warrior's Hill. Ikan explains that the Watchtower holds a treasure meant to help stop the Eclipse. It is said that "warriors who wield weapons that are not weapons," i.e. Adepts, would scale the tower to find its treasure. Matthew's group is given the Watchtower Key, and heads to Warrior's Hill to find its treasure.

Real World Influences

The island of Harun itself could be based on Sakhalin, an island to the east of Russia and north of Japan, which corresponds to Harun's location between Angara and Nihan. The name "Harun" could also be a corruption of "Saharin", a Japanese form of the island's original name.
