After the November 2010 release of Dark Dawn, several of us paid a lot of attention to E3 2011 to see if the fourth Golden Sun game would be announced in at least a beta form the way Dark Dawn was announced in summer 2009. But it's now been half a year since the last E3, and a half a year until the next E3, meaning a lot more time that likely has been spent in game development. I'm basically casually expecting something to come up at E3 2012, though I'm wondering how many anticipate its reveal to be a different time.

I think it might be a few more years before they release it. That is if they ever make one.

I think maybe (hopefully) by the end of the year. Between GS And TLA, it was a 2 year wait so maybe another 2 year wait for the sequel to DD (if the pattern holds)? It shouldn't be another 7 year wait. That would only happen if Camelot planned to make another GS game.

I don't know about the whole before-during-after thing, but I have a feeling that GS4 will be announced somewhere near the end of 2012 or the beginning of 2013. For now, though, I'm going with "during E3".

Given how a lot of time passed between TLA and DD, and how they're supposedly thinking of making it for the 3DS, it won't happen for quite a time.

Being that they are making Mario Tennis it will be quite some time, possibly after the E3 2012

Where'd you hear that? That, of course, would change everything. Camelot would need to return to Mario sports games for the sake of their finances, so I would therefore say E3 2013 at the earliest, but likely later than that.

@ Eric the Appreciator Found out in the Nintendo Gamer magazine. It was shown back in 2011 at a show thing in Japan. But mabey they are doing that game for a small hand with 3D and to keep things moving

D, which in my opinion was not as good as the previous two. So all I want is some time for Camelot and Nintendo to come up with one that will blow the 3rd one out of the water.

maybe around when the 3Ds will be almost obsolete... but since 3ds has a better graphics capability, they could have started again from scratch and it would take some time (again).

I hope sooner than later, DD impressed my with its graphics on the ds. Seeing as i can compare the graphics of the 3ds to the xbox(not saying better, just comparable-thank you street fighter) Golden sun will probably blow my mind away on the 3ds...so i hope they make one soon

I think that the fourth game in the series will be announced during E3 2012. They probably started creating it mid-2011. It's what I think, anyway. C'mon. The 3DS was introduced early 2011. They probably started creating the game mid-2011. That's the first thing that came to my mind. Hoping the game becomes a reality soon.

i would think Camolot would probablly take their time to think up a reasonable plot, not to mention bosses and monsters and items and treasure chests and cutscenes and lets not forget graphics! as well as the system they would format it for, as in GBA, or DS/DSi/3DS
