Basic Description by Game
Guardian Circlets are sold in armor vendors at Tolbi in Golden Sun, at Apojii Islands in Golden Sun: The Lost Age, and at Te Rya Village in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. This circlet can be equipped on all mage-style Adepts in both games, namely Ivan and Mia in the first game, Jenna and Sheba in the second, and Karis, Rief, Amiti, and Himi in the third.
In Golden Sun, Guardian Circlets will generally see little use, as stronger Artifacts can be won at Tolbi's Lucky Medal Fountain, including the superior Ninja Hood and Glittering Tiara. A Guardian Circlet would only be needed in cases where the player is unable to win these Artifacts.
In Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Guardian Circlets can first be bought in Apojii Islands, meaning they are available as soon as the player can sail the Great Eastern Sea in the Lemurian Ship. However, Jenna and Sheba will both have Artifacts that are close Defensively to the Guardian Circlets with the bonus of useful side-effects. In addition, stronger Platinum Circlet's also become available at Izumo around this time. Thus, Guardian Circlets are generally unnecessary.
In Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, as before, Guardian Circlets will generally be outclassed by various Artifacts found before and immediately after visiting Te Rya Village. Thus, Guardian Circlets will only be needed in situations where the player missed earlier headwear, as the player cannot backtrack at this point.
