Flutter Seed enemy line

Flutter Seed (フライングシード Flying Seed), Leaf Bat (シードバット Bat Seed), and Raptor Seed (ウイングシード Seed Wing) are enemies randomly battled in Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. These monsters, resembling leaf-winged nuts, are palette-swapped variants of each other that appear in different, mutually-exclusive locations within the same game. They also have differing levels of strength and similar-yet-different sets of battle skills, with the more dangerous variants typically appearing later in a game.

Flutter Seed

A Flutter Seed is a level 1 variant with a brown body and green wings. The Flutter Seed is encountered at Goma Plateau and the Tanglewood. In Goma Plateau, the Flutter Seeds appear in two scripted encounters; one against two Flutter Seeds, and another against two Flutter Seeds and a Slime.

Statistically, the Flutter Seed is superior to the Slime in every category except HP, although that is not saying very much. Both enemies are easily downed by Karis' Whirlwind Psynergy and are quickly outclassed by the enemies they appear alongside in subsequent locations.

Leaf Bat

A Leaf Bat is a level 25 variant with a purple body and light blue wings. They are fought in Kolima Forest.

The Leaf Bat is one of the statistically weaker enemies in Kolima Forest. They possess the lowest HP and Attack, and the second lowest Defense stat. Like the Flutter Seed, they can only perform physical attacks, and thus, are not considered threatening.

Raptor Seed

A Raptor Seed is a level 41 variant with a black body and yellow wings. It is fought in Yamata Ruins.

Like it's predecessors, the Raptor Seed has the lowest statistics across the board in comparison to the monsters it is fought alongside. Although it's Agility rating is the second highest in the ruins, the Wise Gryphon outspeeds it by a large amount. It does has a good chance of dropping a Potion when downed by a Jupiter Djinn.
